Continuation of the bath scene/ last day in the monastery

I submerged for a last peaceful second before making up my mind.

It was about time to go out.

Standing up carefully I stepped out and took the closest towel to dry myself, starting with my body and doing my hair last as it would take quite a bit longer to dry.

Wrapping the towel around my waist I headed out towards the shared changing room.

A new set of robes lay there and I had taken some spare underwear from my room along before I came here. I wasn’t sure where Claire got them from but hers were much more comfortable then the once prepared along the robes.

Once sufficiently dried I put on a white tunic next going down to my ankles with a similarly long black and white habit on top. I wore a medallion around my neck not only showing my affiliation but it was also there to protect me.

If I were anywhere else I would have likely taking it along into the bath but here it was unnecessary. I looked in the mirror staring absentmindedly into my reflection.

A cute girl with blond hair and sky blue eyes looked back at me. Despite her disheveled hair her otherwise near perfect features made her even more eye catching in contrast. Red lips like cherries and unblemished skin made her look like a noble girl potentially even a princess though I had never seen one in person I doubted I would fall behind in terms of looks.

If I didn’t know better I might have even described her as an angel through that might sound like boasting those were my honest thoughts even before I woke up in her body.

The virgin perk was important and I would try to keep it as long as possible even if some sacrifices needed to be made.

Claire was born with an enormous capacity for divine power leading to side effects. Her body born with a much higher divine capacity than a normal human had to adapt to the power. As a consequence, sacrifices needed to be made which lead to her having a weak constitution with slower stamina regeneration and weaker strength despite her level. Meaning even at a higher level she won’t become significantly stronger physically. Which kinda sucked.

On the other hand her divine power would increase even more rapidly than that of others.

Later on she could bless whole armies and cast miracles you would normally need dozens of bishops for. Of course that was far into the future as the game went on for several years. Obviously I would like the resolve the issue the fastest way possible but that held its own risks. In game, time progressed as you full-filled main story events while side quests happened in between. The fastest victory could be achieved by beating all the commanders on the first meeting and storming the demons hideout right after but that was practically impossible to achieve on your first play-through as far as I knew, only via new game plus where your level is reset but you kept everything else was that possible.
