Contemplate the Magnitude of This Power.

This.

This kind of power is something surely everyone has fantasized about for millennia- and now you have it.

The power to speak and turn your words into the truth of reality with only a thought. Although, it only applies to people, you think.

Gosh- you're getting all giddy and anxious to try out all the stuff that you can think of! The excitement is almost maddening!

Perhaps you can alter your own body, call up your friends and family and show off what you can do, finally get that job you've been wanting- you can do just about anything at all!

But...

As you sit down on the small couch in your living room, a thousand thoughts and ideas fly through your head and a thousand more come and go just as quick. Each idea is replaced by another as you cannot commit to a single one without thinking of another one or two that may be more fun or more important.

God- this indecision is almost killing you! If only you could-

The next thought you form is quickly shut down, however it is not to replace it with another but to end it before it can come to fruition in reality- just in case.

That's a dangerous thought; can you alter your own mind? Maybe change the way you think and completely edit your personality? What the heck is up with that?! Could one stray thought send your existence spinning until you're but a shadow of your original self? You don't quite know the limits to this ability and there's not exactly an owner's manual!

You suppose there's really no helping it now that the strange entity that gifted you this power is gone. At least, you think it's gone. Then again, it could be observing you- watching what you'll decide to do with this power. Although, even if it was spying on you, what reason would it have to do that? You're not interesting at all. You're John Everyman: The most normal and generic individual in all of existence!

Probably. Maybe. What were you thinking of again? Damn your low attention span! And possible ADD or ADHD!

Perhaps you should just focus on yourself for now and see what you can change. You're not very comfortable using this power on somebody else (again) without being sure of what you can do or if you can reverse any of it.

Now, however, there's the question of what you should attempt.

You could change the color of your skin, hair, or eyes- or maybe even all three. You've always wondered what it would be like to be taller and you're sure that you could shrink yourself just as well. Or maybe... you could make yourself a bit longer? Thicker? That particular thought is rather enticing as you let it roll around in your brain. Maybe give your family jewels a bit more heft as well- wow, okay, hold your horses there, Mr. Everyman. Maybe start with something a little less important.
