Connie (The Walking Dead)

Portrayed by Lauren Ridloff; Born with a genetic disorder that made her deaf, Connie was a famous and fearless journalist who helped expose many politicians for their corruption prior to the end of the world. Not much is known about what Connie did during the first ten years of the apocalypse other than that she survived with her younger sister by jumping from group to group whenever they fell. Eventually, Connie found herself in a group of five, with the three others being a former music teacher, Luke; an ex-con, Magna; and a lawyer, Yumiko. The five eventually were brought in by the Alexandrian Safe Zone though were relocated by Michonne to Hilltop due to new policies that she had installed. Connie would help her fellow survivors fight in a war against the Whispers and later the Commonwealth, even forming a close bond with Daryl Dixon. Lacking the ability to hear, Connie is quite observant due to her previous job as a journalist and is also a sharpshooter with a slingshot.
