Confusion, confusion everywhere

We don't get more info from the radio by the time we arrive. I park the car in front of Tessa's parent's house and we get out.

"Me no only one, but why?"

"I don't know more than you..."

I'm about to ring at the bell, when I realize something. I turn to Tessa.

"Do you think your brother is here?"

"Stop be scawe of my phichay! Yu not in schoo' now!"

"Yes, but you know he's going to pin this whole situation on me! He hates me!"

Tessa' big brother, Rick, was my bully in high school. I admit, I got closer to his sister out of spite, but we actually got along very well. But my relation with him didn't get better, as expected.

"Wing at the door..."

I take a deep breath and ring at the door.

After a short time, her mother opens the door and after a quick look at me, look at Tessa, confused.

"Hi, mom..." My fiancee says.

Her mother turns to me, now angry. "Is this a joke?"

"I really want to, but, sadly, no."

"Ask me any...tin'!"

"I won't play your stupid game, I have worked yesterday evening on the table disposition for you. If you can't be adults, don't bother coming here for the preparation!"

"No joku mom!"

"It's serious, listen to the radio, they talk about what's going on."

Doubt seems to finally creep in her mind and she let us in.

"If it's a joke, I swear to God..."

We follow her to the living room and cross the path of Tessa's father. He obviously asks who's she and I tell him to follow us in the living room. There, Ms. Roberts turns on the TV. Not sure if it caught up with the radio, but after switching a few channels. We find an interview with the banner "Strange case of people changing into different persons. Tyrees Gordon - Alleged shifter."

"... thare wis not'ing, na warning, I woke up, I wis a white chick, red head n' a'!" The woman was saying with a strong Scottish accent.

"For the viewers that just join, here is the picture of the ID of Miss Gordon."

"I aint na chick!"

In a corner of the screen, a picture of a black dude is shown.

Tessa's mom and dad turn to her and her mother asks.

"W-What car did we have before this one?"

"Uh a Fo'd, a bigg wed one."

Ms. Roberts hugged her.

"Oooh, my poor girl! We're here for you."

Mr. Roberts followed, with the look of someone unsure of what's going on.

"What's going on here?" I hear the voice of Rick.

"Apparently there has been a strange event that changed your sister into... her." Ms. Roberts explains.

The tall brown haired guy looks at me and then his sister with a doubtful gaze. "What?"

"Hi, biggu bro..."

"What the fuck? Is that a joke from John, sounds like a loser's joke!"

"Stop be mean to mi hubby!"

"You even sound like a stupid joke!"

"Stop it, Rick! It's her, and it's hard on everyone."

"Fuck this shit! I'm out of here!"

He then leaves the room angry.
