Conflicted feelings

“You’re gonna think this is stupid” Sarah mumbled, dismissing your concern and hoping to get away with saying just that.

“You know I’d never think that. Hold on, let's just walk a little further and we can stop over there” you replied, knowing that there was a place to go now that you were all closer to home.

Just as you thought, around the corner on this street there was an entrance to a small park with a couple of benches where you could sit, letting you pull Sarah into the middle seat while you and Emma took a seat either side of her.

You weren’t in a rush to get her to speak but you both encouraged her to carry on by sticking close by her side, finding yourself getting more concerned as the time passed by without her responding.

“I’m kinda stuck on what I want to do with Jessica. On one hand, I want to push her away after everything she did and after what she said about you but then on the opposite side of things, I told her I needed some space and she’s given me that. She apologised to me and since then she’s been respecting my boundaries. Even after she confessed it felt like… Had I told you she did that?” Sarah said as she started to ramble, revealing something she hadn’t meant to in the heat of the moment.

“We kinda suspected from what was going on at the time but we didn’t know for sure” Emma replied, thinking on her feet quicker than you could.

“Okay, that’s a relief but yeah, that happened and she didn’t exactly time it as well as she could have and we didn’t leave things off on the best terms. I… I know things can’t go back to how they were before now that she’s told me her feelings but… I don’t know what I want things to now become” Sarah continued, giving you more of an insight into her thoughts than she had ever done before.

You moved your arm back to stroke her back and she leaned into your side as soon as she could, fully giving in to you comforting her.

“...I don’t think I can make a decision for you when it comes to this” you told Sarah after some careful consideration.

“Why not? It feels like you’ve made some bigger decisions for me recently. And if anything does happen with the two of us, you are clearly gonna be involved as well” Sarah replied, dropping another bombshell on you without any hint of it being a revelation.

“What do you mean about me being involved?” you asked, not able to hide your curiosity.

“Well you own me right? So it’s your choice who I’m allowed to be with and it only makes sense that you would get to do whatever you wanted with her if we were together. I’ve seen her in the showers and you would be in for a treat if you did want things to go ahead” Sarah said with a grin, speaking way too casually when the topic was about her giving you the right to fuck her prospective girlfriend.

You felt like you needed a moment to process what Sarah had just said but all you could think of now was Jessica in the shower and that was a pretty good image to have in your head.

“I wouldn’t be against it…” Emma added, making you roll your eyes in her direction given that she had said the most obvious thing in the world.

“I think we all know you are on board. Okay, so even if it’s partly my choice on what happens that still doesn’t explain why you had that reaction when I mentioned her working at the gym. If you really wanted to leave the decision up to me then you would have just told me. That means you do have your own opinion about it and I want to know what it is” you replied, needing to hear it from Sarah herself as to what she wanted to do.

“...I want her to stay in my life” Sarah barely admitted, giving you at least something to work with.

“Okay, so if her confession had been under different circumstances, do you think you would have agreed to it?” you asked, getting her to think on her own.

“...I think so” she revealed after she sat there for a moment in silence.

Her short answers weren’t as helpful as they could have been but you could at least say you were making some progress. Still, you didn’t think it would be too helpful for either of you if you were just getting a yes or no answer from her at the moment.

“Okay. I think you need to think about this a bit more on your own but I’m still gonna be seeing her tonight when I’m working. I’ll try and have a conversation to at least attempt to get friendly with her but I can’t guarantee it will go well. Is that okay with you?” you advised, knowing there was only so much you could do if Jessica was acting outwardly hostile towards you.

You also knew for certain that if the opportunity presented itself to you, you were going to try and register her with the KDK and see what her kink was. It didn’t exactly make or break whatever relationship you would have going forward but it would certainly make things easier if she had something compatible with Sarah or the larger group itself.

You were sure Emma had also caught on to your thoughts as she had a huge smile on her face whenever you looked away from Sarah and in her general direction, making you feel like you had somehow walked into a trap even though Emma had had nothing to do with this.

“Come on, we should start heading home again before Mom starts to get worried” you said, patting Sarah on the back and letting her get up from her seat first before you followed behind her.

You were already pretty close to home so it took only a couple more minutes with the three of you making general conversation about what you had seen on the exams before you made it onto your street.

There hadn’t exactly been any plans for Emma to join you inside but you didn’t see a reason why she couldn’t come in now and you could get all of the details sorted out between the two of you that you had been wanting to get sorted.

“You wanna tag along with us or do you need to get home?” you asked Emma, seeing her glance at Sarah before she replied.

“...No, I think I’ll just head home. I wanna do some more studying so I’ll leave you two alone” Emma replied, her glances towards Sarah telling you that there was something you were missing.

She gave one final look to you before she started walking up her driveway and was clearly wanting you to agree with her in this moment, something being left unsaid between the three of you.

“Okay that’s fine. I’ll ring you later when there's some free time alright?” you said back.

“Yeah sure” you got back as a quick reply before she turned back around and went inside her house.
