How Does Katy’s Wednesday Go?

Classes were mostly uneventful, and she only saw one people who she routinely called by name. A skinny boy named Dalton in her Computer Science class, who seemed flustered by her kissing his cheeks before they sat down. The process did not give Katy the sparks that kissing Selina or Dane had, but it was much better than kissing Caleb.

Katy was pretty confident that the punishment was mostly manageable. The day was going well until, closing her laptop after Sociology class, Katy heard a cracking noise.

“Fuck me,” she muttered under her breath as she turned the laptop over in her hands, looking for damage she already knew was there. She’d received the laptop as a sixteenth birthday gift almost 3 years ago, and neither she nor her parents knew at the time that the device’s clamshell hinge was cheaply designed and put too much pressure on the casing when the laptop was opened or closed. Sure enough, a seam on the plastic keeping the screen in place had split, and any movement only made the crack bigger. Katy had taken this exact problem in to be fixed once before, but the laptop wasn’t under warranty anymore. No way around it: she’d have to get a new one.

The electronics store between the university and Katy’s house was nearly empty on a Wednesday afternoon, so Katy had the run of the place while she browsed. Looking up specs and reviews on her phone, she narrowed her options down to two: A chunky notebook that would last her until the end of her degree if she was careful with it and a sleek, high-end model that was a full pound lighter and had enough power for Katy to play a few games in addition to her schoolwork. It was perfect but out of her price range, and the last thing Katy wanted was for her parents to berate her for spending money irresponsibly while living with them rent-free.

Unless there was a way so it wasn’t out of her price range.

Thirty percent off a salad was nothing, but 30% off the laptop would put it well under a thousand dollars. Katy couldn’t believe she was even considering this. She read Flash Sale’s description again. No one will think it’s weird and no one will get in trouble. There was no way.

“Anything I can help you with?” asked an employee in a blue polo shirt. Katy hit the button.

Adrenaline and anxiety flooded into Katy as she considered her options. Finally she screwed up her courage, spent the two gems to enable Flash Sale, and spoke up. "Um, yeah, I'm interested in, uh, this laptop but it's a little out of my price range and I was wondering if there was, I mean, are there any discounts available?"

The employee ran a hand through his close-cropped black beard. "Yeah, there's a floor model I have a bit of flexibility on, we could do a flash sale discount."

"Like if I," Katy felt like she could barely speak. "Like if I showed you my boobs?"

His eyes briefly flicked away from Katy as he did a silent calculation. "I could go as low as $750 for that." That was 300 dollars. Katy realized she might actually do it and asked, “Are you going to, um, tell anyone about this?”

“Oh, nah, any sales we don’t advertise we keep pretty quiet.”

No one else in the store, an assurance that the employee wouldn’t tell anyone, $300 on the line. If Katy thought this through any longer she would chicken out, and then she’d be out two gems with a worse laptop. She hiked her shirt up to her ribcage, hooked her thumbs under the band of her bralette, and lifted. She felt her breasts being pulled up by the tight elastic and then bouncing free. She held the shirt up for an internal count of five as a slight smirk crossed the employee’s face, then frantically pulled it down and tried to get the bra back in place under her shirt without any further exposure or embarrassment.

The employee thanked her, brought the floor model to the till, and tried to upsell her on an extended warranty as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. Katy’s knees were shaking, and her palms were still sweating.

Back at home, Katy’s parents were initially skeptical, but once she explained that her new laptop was a discounted floor model with a superficial scratch on the case, her father congratulated her on her thriftiness and sensible decision-making. Katy smiled nervously, thoughts of the part she left out of the story swimming in her head.

That night, after everyone else had gone to sleep, Katy kept replaying the events in her mind. The feeling she had standing there in the store with the air conditioning hitting her bare boobs, the employee looking hungrily at her, the feeling of her nipples hardening. It might have been from the air conditioning, but she knew it was really from her arousal. She suddenly realized that there were cameras in the store, and she got even more turned on.
