Chapter 44 by dracone

What Plays Out From Here?

Completing the Ritual

Delvin returned to the inn after leaving instructions for his new subordinates and made his way down to the chamber he had shown Inferra and Hilthrika had always been reserved for ritual magics. Given spellcasters often needed a reasonable amount of space for most of the ritual spells they could cast, a chamber like this away from everything else was highly appreciated when those kinds of guests arrived; the guild also made use of the room from time to time before he had corrupted them. On his way down to the chamber, he shot a mental message to Hilthrika that he had returned and it was time to set everything up for the ritual.

Delvin chose to take his time heading down, mostly to give Hilthrika time to get things set up enough to look as impressive as she and he thought it could be. Delvin carefully made his way down the steps, musing on what this ritual would entail. As he made his way down, he heard Hilthrika making an extended abyssal chant; it was clear she was following someone’s instructions on the chant. Inferra was likely parceling out the instructions while Hilthrika performed the act of drawing the circle.

When Delvin finally arrived in the ritual chamber, he saw Hilthrika, in all her naked glory, drawing a circle around eight other circles, that were easily as complex as the others, and the others were looking like the kind of complexity that would trip up most mortal mages, even the veteran ones that had been casting spells for ages. Delvin quickly came to the realization that each complex magic circle correlated with the nine hells in some way.

A quick look over at Inferra found the succubus in a similar state to Hilthrika. Looking back over to Hilthrika, Delvin could see her finishing the chant as she completed the last spell circle. A moment later, it began to glow, and Hilthrika made her way back to where Delvin was. She gave him a sensual wink as she got up next to him.

“It will take a moment for the tome of all Inferras’s knowledge to manifest, I’m guessing,” said Delvin.

“That’s right,” said Hilthrika, “it would have been done sooner, but I spent almost as much time making the interlinking circles as I did discerning her true name so I could target her for the spell; fiends, especially high-ranking ones, have a nasty habit of keeping their true names secret from everyone, including all of their superiors. The only exception to this rule is demons formed through the kind of corruption you effortlessly have used on all of your subordinates, and any demons they make through their own corruption have their true names instinctively known by you as well. Knowing the true name of a demon or devil gives you the greatest level of power and control over them, which is why all of your sluts are so devoutly loyal and often immensely obedient. But, as is the case with all fiends, they will still try acting in their own interest, it’s just most of our personal interests line up nicely with getting plowed by you.”

“I heard that’s a side effect of the corruption from mortal to demon,” said Delvin, “it will usually fade over the following decade or so, can’t have the fun stuff pulling out too soon.”

“Learning how to discover the true name of other demons and the like is also something Hilthrika will have to do as your Prime Aide,” said Inferra, “I felt it best she get in the practice while she can.”

“And she made it considerably difficult,” said Hilthrika, “she also expressed her surprise in me still getting the task done faster than she anticipated. I always seemed to have that as an innate ability when it came to my research, and the guild work thrust upon me when I was placed in the role.”

Almost a minute later, the circle flashed even brighter for a split second before seeming to drop to a dull glow that was dimmer than a torch but brighter than a candle. In the center of the series of circles was what looked like a hefty tome. Hilthrika cautiously made her way over to the tome, carefully making sure not to disturb any of the markings as she did so. She picked up the tome, finding it heftier than it looked, and started leafing through it a bit; everything was in the Abyssal tongue, which she was considerably fluent in before her corruption. Her knowledge and understanding of the language were further enhanced after she was corrupted. She skimmed through quite a few intriguing memories before remembering that there was more she had to do for this ritual and quickly shut the book with a bit of ****.

“So,” said Delvin, “you said there was a way to make the knowledge revealed from yourself permanently within reach of a caster and transfer all your power to them as well; otherwise, you wouldn’t have had my demonic dragon make the circle so overly complex.”

“Yes,” said Inferra, “at most, the tome that contains all my knowledge and memories will return to the ether in a small handful of hours, but will likely only remain in this realm for maybe ten minutes or so.” She saunted up to the edge of the circle, “the rest of the ritual is easy, our caster just needs to consume the tome and myself in quick succession, within a minute or two of consuming the other, while remaining in the magic circle. After she consumed both me and my knowledge, it will take some time for her to assimilate the knowledge and power, possibly as short as a few hours or as long as a couple of weeks. We’re actually fortunate she is a demonic dragon; their physical abilities make this next part easier than most other demons and devils; the ones that would potentially have an easier time would be Serpent Fiends; their physical abilities are so similar to those of mortal serpents that they can perform similar feats of strength in addition to loosening and unhinging different joints when they feel such actions are necessary.”

“So,” said Hilthrika as she opened her mouth incredibly wide and stuffed the book down her throat before swallowing it as she made her way over to where Inferra was standing, taking extra care not to ruin the marking within the circle, “it’s deceptively simple.”

“Hardly,” said Inferra, “most fiends wouldn’t be this cooperative with such a ritual, but one of my final orders was to basically be this cooperative for the ritual; my master knew fully well what this would mean, and I am unable to go against his final set of orders, regardless of my personal feelings on the matter. Personally, I look forward to the experience; it will be one of the few final pleasures I will ever experience.”

The moment the succubus had finished speaking, Hilthrika was facing her while within the circle and picked her up with quite a bit of **** and started to consume her feet first. The process went remarkably fast; within nearly a minute, she was already up to the succubus’s chest, then a moment later, all that was left of the succubus were her head and neck. She was giving out erotic cries of pleasure as Hilthrika devoured her; then, a moment later, she was completely consumed as Hilthrika gave one last gulp.

“That was strangely satisfying,” said Hilthrika, “more so than I thought possible.”

“And far hotter than I thought it would be,” said Delvin, “there is just something about the sight of you consuming another demon that gets me excited."
