Competitive spirit

You walk with Hayley and Helja towards the workshop, the pair of them chatting excitedly about the potential competition. Hayley turns to you with a smile. “You’re awfully quiet, Greg! Something on your mind?”

You shrug. “It’s just a weird feeling, meeting your ex. I know he’s still your friend and all that, but part of me feels a bit threatened, even though that’s silly.”

Helja smiles. “There’s no need to feel like that. Andrew is not interested in us like that, and we’re definitely not interested in him like that.”

Hayley laughs. “We tried it once, and it was a mistake! Besides, I wouldn’t want to give you up, stud!”

You chuckle. “Like I said, it’s silly. So, what sort of competition is this?”

Helja shrugs. “We don’t really know. I imagine we’ll have to design and build things better than they do.”

Hayley nods. “It’s all for fun and bragging rights anyway!”

You smile. “Hopefully there’s a trophy so we can show off after we win.”

The redhead laughs. “That’s the spirit!”

The three of you arrive, finding Sanni and Marin already there. Marin grins as you walk in. “So…I hear you have a couple spare rooms in your house?”

You blink, looking at the two of them. Marin laughs, and Sanni shrugs sheepishly. You smile. “Planning on moving in?”

Marin nods. “Might as well! I miss out on so much living on my own.”

Sanni smiles. “And…I want to be close to you.”

You step forward and give each of them a hug. “Of course you’re welcome. The other girls will be very excited!”

Marin laughs. “Naia’s going to lose her mind. I’ll make sure to rest up!”

Hayley laughs. “You know she’s just dying to get ahold of you again!”

Sanni chuckles. “I’m sure we can find an appropriate way to celebrate…”

You raise an eyebrow at the lamia. “Are you suggesting what I think you are?”

Helja grins. “It’s always the quiet one that hints at an orgy…but before we get into that, we have news!”

You share the news of a competition with Marin and Sanni, and predictably, the tiger girl is raring to go. “Let’s do this! Get a little rivalry and a little fame!”

Sanni smiles. “I don’t know about that, but a test of skill is always fun.”

Helja nods. “It’s decided, then. I’ll send a letter to Andrew telling him we accept!”
