Commander Jane Shepard…and Liara

Liara faltered at the question, unsure how to answer. “Tell me, Liara. Who is the contract holder?” Ashley asked.

“Commander Jane Shepard,” Liara said. “And… Doctor Liara T’Soni….”

Ashley’s eyes widened. “Wait… what?!”

“We were looking for a… partner for some… uh explicit experiments in the bedroom,” Liara explained. “We figured 5 years made sense as for me that’s basically a month, and for Jane it was reasonable because well… it wasn’t too long for her to miss out on anything.”

“So… I’m owned by you and Shepard?” Ashley said.

“That is correct,” Liara said.

“So you can release me?” Ashley asked.

“No,” Liara said. “Neither of us have the credits large enough to break the contract. And I doubt you have that fund either. And anyways maybe this will be a… fun experience especially since it’s someone we know and not just some random being we don’t know.”

“But I’ve never… at least I’ve never thought… with a woman? And… well…” Ashley blushed. “Are serious?”

“I don’t make jokes,” Liara said. “Not about things like this. Now… Jane is still recovering from the Lazarus Project 2.0. After I recovered her body and brought her back… it’s been… challenging. So for the most part, you will be dealing with me for at least 1 year. And then Jane may join in 4 years after.”

Ashley blinked. “So… I’m yours?”

“Yes,” Liara said. “I’m glad you’re a fast learner. We can begin immediately.”

“What?” Ashley said. “Begin what?”

“Your first day… you didn’t think you would just get to lie around naked like that for 5 years, did you?” Liara said.

“You can’t be serious…” Ashley said.

“Again, I don’t joke about things like this,” Liara said. “So… get up or am I going to have to use a holocollar…”

Ashley’s eyes widened as she jumped to her feet, suddenly feeling much more alert…
