Comfortable

Keith finishes his meal, finding it quite delicious and filling. He’s also surprised to notice that he’s feeling very comfortable in his new situation. It’s helped by how easygoing the trio is, but really, it’s like something inside him just feels…satisfied. Almost like he was meant to be here. Before, he had craved something different, something exciting, and being teleported into a world full of beings out of a fantasy certainly fits the bill. The fact that they are all clearly extremely interested in him is just a bonus!

The other thing is that, despite their varied and exotic (to him) appearances, they’re just…people. The sort of people who he could have been friends with even before all of this. As the conversation continues, Keith realizes how much he just needed some friends. He chuckles to himself. Friends with some wonderful benefits, it had to be said!

Beside him, Devin is regarding him curiously. “Some deep thoughts, hmm?”

Keith smiles, shaking his head. “Nah, just…kinda amazed at how much can change in a day.”

Ava tilts her head. “You’ve been through quite an experience. Do you need some time?”

Keith shakes his head again. “No, not at all. I was just thinking about how comfortable I am here already.”

Gina grins, nudging him playfully. “Must be the warm greeting, huh?”

Keith laughs. “It didn’t hurt, that’s for sure! But really, I can’t explain it, I just feel…good.”

Devin smiles, leaning closer. “Not as good as you’ll feel later tonight!”

Keith blinks in surprise, and the lizard boy giggles. “You should see your face right now!”

Even Ava is giggling. “Devin! Be nice.”

Gina has no such restraint, laughing uproariously. “You can’t feed Devin a line like that and not expect him to jump on it!”

Keith rolls his eyes, but he’s smiling too. “Fair enough, I suppose.”

Glancing over at the giggling femboy, he gets a sly grin. “But don’t make promises you can’t keep, little lizard…”

Devin’s eyes go wide, and Keith is amused to see him blush and fiddle with the hem of his skirt. Gina laughs again. “Damn, stud, I think you flustered him!”

Devin recovers quickly, and there’s a definite look of excitement in his yellow, lizard like eyes. “Oh, I always keep my promises.”

Now it’s Keith’s turn to blush under the intensity of that look. Gina and Ava share a glance, and the big gray woman grins. “Well, I think that settles it for sleeping arrangements, huh?”

Ava nods. “Indeed. Have fun you two. And Keith, remember to save some energy for your meeting tomorrow.”

Keith barely hears her, still looking into Devin’s eyes. “Mhm, got it.”

Devin’s smile widens. “I think that’s our signal to turn in for the evening, don’t you think? We can continue this conversation in private.”

With that, Devin stands, raising an eyebrow at Keith.
