You gather all the crystals in your backpack, after verifying that you can still differentiate between tunnels based on the pull of the colored crystal you hold in your hand at the moment. Then you set out, knowing that no one or nothing else can collect the crystals while you are exploring, in effect, erasing your roadsigns.
