What's next?
Coffee
The morning light filtered through the blinds, striping Stacy's desk in parallel lines of gold. She stared at the spreadsheet on her screen—wedding timelines, vendor contacts, budget allocations—but the numbers blurred into meaningless shapes.
She took a sip of cold coffee and frowned.
Memory fragments. The car. The leather scent. A warmth between her thighs that had no business lingering this long.
She shook her head. It was the wine. And the hypnotist's suggestibility. A weird night. A one-time thing. She'd let her imagination run wild on the drive home. That was all.
Her phone buzzed.
Alicia's name lit up the screen. Coffee? I'm in the neighborhood. 15 mins?
Stacy's stomach flipped. See? Normal. Friends get coffee. She typed back quickly: Come on over! Door's unlocked.
She stood, smoothed her blouse, and walked to the front door with deliberate casualness. Just coffee. Just a friend. No big deal.
Alicia arrived with that same sly smile, her hair catching the hallway light. She wore a thin cardigan over a tank top, casual and effortless.
"Hey you," Stacy said, stepping aside. "Come in. I was just drowning in spreadsheets."
"Thought you might need a rescue." Alicia's voice carried that familiar teasing lilt.
They walked to the kitchen. Stacy busied herself with the coffee maker, measuring grounds, filling the reservoir. The mundane rhythm steadied her pulse.
"So," Stacy said, forcing a laugh, "are you as embarrassed as I am about last night? I still can't believe I did a pole dance."
Alicia leaned against the counter, arms crossed. "Oh, I don't know. I thought it was pretty hot."
The words landed somewhere deep, igniting a flicker Stacy refused to acknowledge. She turned, grabbed two mugs from the cupboard. The coffee maker beeped.
"The coffee's ready, let me get you a cup."
Behind her, Alicia's voice dropped. Low. Deliberate. The single word cut through the kitchen air like a razor.
"Certainly."
Stacy's hand froze mid-reach. Her blood turned to humming wires. The mug in her grip suddenly weighed a thousand pounds.
No. No no no. She didn't just—
I should turn around. Laugh it off. Tell her to knock it off.
But if I do—what will she do? What will I do?
A war erupted behind her ribs. Married woman. Best friend. Line we can't uncross.
But the car ride surfaced. The slide of fingers. The wet heat. The secret thrill that had kept her awake half the night, touching herself in the dark while Tom snored beside her.
It was a mistake. We were drunk.
Her hand trembled. She set the mug down.
I shouldn't. I really, really shouldn't.
But the way her hand felt...
If I just do what she says, it's her doing it. Not me.
The lie tasted sweet.
She didn't turn around. She stood perfectly still, her body slackening, her eyes finding a fixed point on the wall and staying there. Her breathing slowed.
Behind her, footsteps.
Alicia rounded the counter, and when she saw Stacy's empty gaze, her smile sharpened into something hungry. Triumphant.
"Follow me," she whispered.
Stacy's mind screamed: This is it. If I follow, I'm choosing this.
Her feet moved.
She followed Alicia through the kitchen doorway, into the living room—that familiar space of cozy blankets and movie nights and shared bottles of wine. The couch sat there, plush and beige, innocent as ever.
Alicia positioned her in front of it. "Stand here."
Stacy obeyed.
Alicia's hands found the hem of her blouse, lifting it slowly. The fabric whispered over Stacy's skin, her arms rising automatically to let it slide free. Cool air kissed her torso, her breasts still covered by a thin lace bra.
She's undressing me. In my own living room. In broad daylight.
Alicia's fingers traced the ridge of Stacy's collarbone. Featherlight. Then down, following the curve of her breast, the edge of the bra cup.
"You won't remember anything that happens here," Alicia murmured, her breath warm against Stacy's shoulder. "You'll remember only that we had a nice cup of coffee and a chat."
The bra unclipped. It fell away.
Alicia stepped back, surveying her. "Lie down on the couch."
Stacy moved mechanically. Her body sank into the familiar cushions, her legs parted slightly as Alicia positioned them. The room's afternoon light painted everything in soft, hazy gold.
Alicia knelt on the floor beside the couch. Her hands found Stacy's thighs, pushing them wider apart. The skirt of Stacy's dress had ridden up, exposing the damp fabric of her underwear.
"You're already wet," Alicia breathed. "You've been thinking about this all morning, haven't you?"
Stacy said nothing. Inside, a voice whispered: Yes.
Alicia's mouth pressed against her inner thigh. Hot. Soft. A kiss that lingered. Then another, higher. Her tongue traced a slow path upward, stopping just short of the cotton barrier.
Oh god. I remember this from last night. The waiting. The anticipation.
Alicia hooked her thumbs into the waistband and pulled down. The underwear slid over Stacy's hips, down her thighs, past her knees. Alicia lifted her ankles one at a time to free them completely, then tossed the fabric aside.
Stacy lay fully exposed—skirt bunched around her waist, blouse and bra discarded somewhere on the floor. The afternoon sun gilded her skin.
Alicia's breath ghosted over her. "Beautiful."
Then her mouth descended.
The first touch of her tongue sent a jolt through Stacy's entire body. She clamped down on any reaction, forcing stillness, forcing the blank mask. But inside, she was unraveling.
Alicia worked slowly. Methodically. Her tongue traced circles around the sensitive peak, never touching it directly. She pulled back, blew cool air across the wet skin, then dipped lower, tasting, exploring.
Stacy's hips fought against the command to stay still. Her fingers curled into the couch cushions.
Say nothing. Move nothing. Let her do this.
Alicia's rhythm shifted. Her tongue flattened, broad strokes that covered the whole of her, then narrowed to a point that traced the edges of her opening. She hummed against the flesh, the vibration traveling through Stacy like a current.
Minutes passed. Or hours. Stacy lost track. The world narrowed to the sensation between her legs—the heat, the wetness, the alternating pressure and release.
Alicia pulled back. "Not yet."
Stacy's lungs ached. She hadn't realized she was holding her breath.
Alicia's fingers replaced her mouth. One finger traced the same path, gathering moisture, circling slowly. Then it slid inside. Just the tip.
Fuck.
A second finger joined the first. They moved together, curling against that spot deep inside. Stacy's vision blurred at the edges. A sound escaped her throat—a small, broken moan she couldn't suppress.
Alicia smiled against her thigh. "There you are."
She withdrew her fingers entirely. Stacy whimpered.
Alicia's mouth returned, and this time she focused. No teasing. No circling. Her tongue pressed directly against the peak, flat and firm, moving in tight, rhythmic strokes.
The pressure built. Stacy's internal clock shattered. Sensation pooled in her core, expanding, contracting, a living thing coiling tighter with each pass of that tongue.
Yes. Yes. Please yes.
Alicia pushed two fingers inside her at the same moment. She curled them, pressing upward, and her tongue flicked faster.
Stacy's body seized.
The orgasm crashed through her in waves—her thighs clenched around Alicia's head, her back arched off the couch, a raw cry tore from her throat. She saw white behind her closed eyes, felt her muscles contracting in helpless, rhythmic pulses.
Alicia stayed with her through it, tongue gentling, fingers slowing but not stopping until the tremors faded.
Stacy collapsed against the cushions, breath ragged, skin slick with sweat.
