Chapter 26
by
Potato-cat
Where do you start?
Clothing
“I guess the fist place to start would be clothing.” You mother said. “That dress you’re wearing, did you choose it or did Doe?”
“Doe did.” You responded.
“Well then, why don’t we hop in the car and head down to the local department store so I can teach you how a proper woman should dress.”
You agreed, and an hour latter you and your mother were clothes shopping. It was an interesting experience. When you had gone clothes shopping as a man you had always found it to be somewhat of a dull chore. Practically everything would look fine on you, and there was always something in your size. And the clothing options themselves were never that drastically different. The most variety you had was weather you’d wear khakis or jeans. However, shopping for clothes as a woman felt completely different.
The first noticeable difference was that not everything was in your size. As soon as you arrived your mother had you fitted. At first you thought it was a bit of a formality, like how you measured your shoe size when you needed new sneakers. You thought they were just going to say “size eleven” and you would just have to find something around that category. You couldn’t have been more wrong. They gave you your measurements in exact inches. And at first, looking for clothes that were both in your size, and didn’t squeeze your tits like an anaconda was a challenge you certainly wouldn’t have been able to overcome without the help of you experienced mother.
The second noticeable difference from shopping for clothes as a man was the sheer variety of options. As a man you only ever wore pants. In fact, pants were the only option open to men. If you wanted to get really pedantic, you could technically say that shorts were a separate type of clothing than pants, but that dilutes the point. No man ever had to choose between pants or some other clothing. But as a woman, the sheer variety of clothing options available to you was near overwhelming. You could have skirts, dresses, pants, leggings, stocking, pantyhose, and all other kinds of apparel. You actually found yourself being way more interested in fashion than you ever were as a man.
The third big difference from shopping as a man, was how drastically what you chose to wear would affect how people saw you. You had dealt with a much more minor version of this as a man. If you wanted to be professional, wear a white button down. For fancy wear a suit. And For casual, wear anything as long as it’s relatively clean. But as a woman it quickly became clear what you chose to wear made a much greater statement about who you were. Multiple times outfits you thought of as cute were shot down by your mother for “looking too whorish” or “making you look easy”. Adding on to this was the issue that your mother refused to buy anything similar to men’s clothes for you, such as normal pants. When you asked her why this was, her response was simply,
“_A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. _Deuteronomy, chapter twenty two, verse five.”
And as a result, when you finally arrived home after a long day of shopping. You went to bed with a closet full of skirts and dresses, but not a sing pair of pants. You even wore a nightgown as you drifted to sleep.
What’s tomorrow’s lesson?
