"What the FUCK!"

Clare pulled her hands, and the magical sphere away

Chapter 438 by The Other Guy The Other Guy

"So, bad day at the beach?" You asked, feeling the string Edin had given you for your mother ring pulling taut on your neck.

"Oh you know, sand, water, sun, the usual." Clare answered. "Though Delilah won't let my fuck her."

"I said the only, you know, allowed in me is Christopher's." Delilah said, her voice slowing down as she repeated her clearly well used argument in front of you.

"I've already told you I'm shooting blanks, could pump enough in you to make you look pregnant and it wouldn't do anything." Clare whined.

"For the record I would like to try." Eve said. "Well I," Delilah closed their mouth, "I don't want you to cum in us." It looked like Delilah was being brow beaten into sex more than excited for it.

Under normal circumstance you would feel somewhat more compassionate however, "Hey, sorry mind I cut in to asked," you gesture at Clare and her sphere.

"Huh, oh right, we went to the beach to check for the poker." Clare sounded a little annoyed you'd interrupted her nearing successfully coerced sexual engagement.

"Yeah I know you said. Not really explaining this." You once more gestured to the sphere.

"You remember?" Eve asked walking over and untying your ring letting the cord fall free and Clare move away.

"Yeah, kinda hard to forget pulling a burning hot poker that had just been used by the phantom of your, I don't have strong enough words, torturer out of your mind and into the real world. Could be something like an after image but since I didn't come out wearing leaf shoes suggests it was as real as it could be." You looked between the two confused faces. "What?"

"You remember that." Delilah asked.

"Yep."

"You didn't misremember and you never actually pulled it into the real world?" Clare asked.

"You two are really stretching this out, no I didn't misremember, I brought the thing out of their mind and it vanished on the beach"

"And you never told us you misremembered?" Eve asked, unlike the other two she was looking fascinated.

"No, is this going anywhere, like some elaborate joke or are you two just fucking with me more generally?" You asked raising an eyebrow. "And why are you doing that with my mother's ring." Everyone looked at the ring that was floating in the sphere.

"Well that's cool." Clare said lifting her hands to examine it.

"When we met you told me it was mundane, only had a slight memory and teleportation enchantment so it was stay with me and I'd forget about it." You were starting to think they weren't fucking with you. "What's going on, is it more than just those two enchantments?" A hint of nervousness was slipping into your voice.

"Nope, just those two." Clare said, giving you a sigh of relief. "This isn't that ring though."

It took you a moment to say, "What?"

"This ring and that ring, totally different things." Clare shook her hands. "I've no idea what this is."

"What are it's enchantments?" Eve asked leaning to examine the ring. Clare didn't answer as she was too busy trying to see down their top. "Focus, if you're good we'll suck-" A hand covered their mouth. "No we won't." Delilah stammered out, then looked at Clare who was pouting, "We'll stroke you."

"Fuck yes." Clare said grinning and looking at you eagerly.

"Focus, please." Eve repeated. "I can only see the two enchantments you mentioned." She said standing up and crossing their arms to think.

"Why do you think it's not my mother's ring, anymore." You added the last part then further, "And how long hasn't it been my mother's ring?"

"No idea. Best guess each dot is a different ring since they aren't enchanted." Clare held the ring up to her eye, the sphere or magic was making the ring a bit blurry but she clearly wasn't willing to lower the amount of magic she was using. "Nothing I can see that should be so totally fucking up your memory."

"Ok, what is it doing exactly?" You asked, you weren't used to playing catch up with these three, Aurora and Ana absolutely but not these two.

"Every time we asked about the poker you suggested it had been brought out of my mind, then correct yourself that you hadn't. It also altered Delilah's memory so that she never heard you mention bring the poker out of my mind." Eve said. "We think being two minds in one body means I am unaffected. The magic only affect one mind per body. Interesting limitation to be included."

"And totally not at all obviously meant to exclude you." Clare said, she lowered her hands and looked at you.

You weren't looking back, you were looking around the room for the letter your mother had left that would only be visible from your precise location in the room. "So anyone wanna guess what my mother is planning before we find the letter?" You asked. You couldn't see anything but maybe that would be too obvious, not like you were the only person in this room who might have stumbled onto it. "Help me pull up the carpet." You said to Delilah.

"Wait, before you go shredding our only remaining place to crash in private." Clare words drew both your eyes, totally disbelieved that she had just requested not having an excuse to sleep in everyone else's beds. "Yes I hear it but give me a second." She looked back at the thing, rotating it to see you through the centre.

"Was that enlightening?" You asked, looking for the best spot to start ripping up the floor.

Clare stared at you for a bit longer. "Nope, tear the floor up." She said lowering her hands. You and Delilah both moved to the door and knelt down to try and pick at the carpet. With magic that was very quick and you both had fingertips ready to pull when Clare shouted, "WAIT!"

You looked at Clare and saw her admiring your asses. "What?"

She stared for a moment longer. "Testing something, come here." You nodded for you to come over. You did and she looking down at the ring. "When I say now disintegrate it. Ready, n-"

"WAIT!" You stopped everything this time. "I'm not destroying my mother's ring." You said as Delilah came to join you.

"We could give it a go." Eve said raising a now flaming hand.

"Think we've seen enough things blowing up for now." You said, putting your hand on their elbow. "We aren't destroying my mother's ring."

"This isn't your mother's ring, and besides I think a new one will show up."

You opened your mouth to express your unchanged refusal and saw the dots. "So those are how many rings I've gone through, have I lost it, them, that many times."

"No idea, hence the disintegrate, let's test it and see." Clare was sounding really eager for the destroying idea.

"It could be informative." Eve said. "It's Lady Zara's ring." Delilah said sounding uncomfortable.

"Well tie vote." Clare said. "Wanna fuck and see how we feel afterwards?"

"Won't we forget this when you drop the magic?" You asked her, she shrugged. Normally you'd be on board for testing the magical limits but what if it's gone for good, it is the only thing your mother's given you. And she's told you 'it'll be worth the wait, just keep doing what you've been doing.' Destroying it wouldn't be something you've been doing.

"I'll remember." Eve said. "You think." Delilah added.

Well so glad you've only go the option to destroy it or fuck, why couldn't their be a middle ground. "If there's only the memory and teleport enchantment are we sure this is even what's doing it? Maybe something else changed." The three of you looked around the room but all eyes returned the the ring, and the cord that was mostly hanging out of it. "Well, wanna explain how it can have a hidden enchantment before we go destroying it?"

"There are ways to conceal an enchantment." Eve said. "Enchanting metal then plating it with a more magically insulating material would work, thought there is always some leakage, otherwise the enchantment can't activate." You all looked at the dots.

"Well I can't see any magical leakage, so if this is an enchantment inside the ring only way to see it would be," she tried to vocalise the sound of atoms having their covalent bonds being torn apart, it sounded like when you push you dick a bit too deep into someone mouth and a bit or air is squeezed out. "And I focused so I am owed a stroking." She added looking expectantly at Delilah who blushed.
