Clara gives you an envelope

"Nurse Bates?"

It's Clara, the young receptionist from Hospital Administration, with her too-red lips and too-dark eyeliner.

"Before she left, Gina said I should give you this," she says.

She hands you a sealed envelope with your name written on it, and a sticky note. She's wearing a heavy floral perfume, but you catch the scent of her perspiration. Your vulva clenches and moistens at her female scent. Down, down, you tell yourself. But you look at Clara again. Maybe she would know more.

"Did Gina say anything about it?" you say.

"Just to give it to you and read the outside," Clara says.

There's a sticky note in Gina's handwriting. Nurse B.- open in private. Talk tomorrow. -Gina. The dot over the letter 'i' in her signature is a little heart shape.
