Ciri checks on Greta

Ciri looked to her left where Greta was sitting. Greta laid down and hugged the pillow on the bed and cried. “Hey,” Ciri said, gently as she rested a hand on Greta’s shoulder which rose and fell very quickly as Greta sobbed.

“Everyone saw me naked! I’m done. It’s over,” Greta cried. “They saw my itty bitty titties.”

“Hey now,” Ciri said. “There’s nothing wrong with having a smaller chest.”

“Smaller? It’s non-existent.”

“Greta, please,” Ciri said, as she laid down behind her, wrapping her arms around Greta. “You can’t let them win.”

“Didn’t you hear the things they said about me,” Greta cried. “I look 12…”

“No you don’t,” Ciri said. “You look like a lovely young woman who has been through horrible things. You’re not…”

“Do you want to know the worst part?” Greta asked.

“What?” Ciri asked.

Greta turned around, facing Ciri. And then she lifted her hair away from her ear.

Ciri gasped she saw scars on the curves of Greta’s ears. “Wait… are you… are you an elf?”

Greta nodded. “They cut my ears,” Greta whispered. “They wanted to mold me into the perfect human girl.”

Ciri’s eyes widened, her face turned into a scowl. “Those assholes. I’ll kill them,” Ciri growled. “Forget whatever Yennefer does to them. I’ll gladly give them a piece of my mind.”

“I don’t want them killed,” Greta said. “I just want to move on.”

Ciri nodded as she brushed Greta’s hair out of the way, caressing Greta’s cheek and ear. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that. My best friend… he’s an elf too. And he was put through a horrible curse himself, actually a few. People they… they hate those who are different from them. I’ve had my own tortures. Because I’m a Witcher. Do you see these scars?”

Ciri turned her back so that Greta could see the big and small scars that covered Ciri’s back. Greta gently rested a hand on her right shoulder. “Holy shit, what’s this one?” Greta said as she gazed at burn marks on Ciri’s back with a scar in the middle.

“Most of my scars come from humans, not monsters,” Ciri said. “There are exceptions, but the worse ones are from human attacks.”

Greta pressed her face into Ciri’s back, tears streaming down her cheeks. “I’m sorry.”

“Hey, let’s not be so gloom,” Ciri said. “I believe we were in the middle of something before that hag interrupted… would you mind continuing?”

“Huh?” Greta said, and then nodded. “Sure, but do you want to do it here or your bathroom?
