Chronos appears with an Offer

Suddenly, the mist erupted into the room. Mark wasn't transported to some other worldly dimension this time. Chronos was coming to him. Chronos appeared and surveyed the room, taking a deep sniff before looking directly at Mark. Mark gulped before standing up straight in front of Chronos. "Do you need me to get more?" Mark asked in an intimidated manner. Chronos merely smirked before picking up Haley with one hand and looking her over.

"This is a fine specimen you've gotten me, Mark. A real fine one indeed. If I was stupid." Chronos dropped Haley to the ground with a thud before walking over to Mark, getting real close. Chronos sneered into Mark's face, "Why haven't you frozen Regina yet? She has unlimited untouched potential. I gave you that clue already." Mark tries to push Chronos back slightly but he doesn't really budge. Mark gulps, "Why isn't Haley good enough for you? She was most popular student in my High School, so I thought that could correlate here? Chronos backed off a little bit, "Haley Bailey was going to become homeless and die homeless, doing prostitute work on the side. Her sister, now that's a catch." Mark looked at Haley. Vivian? How could she be filled with potential and Haley apparently is not.

Chronos as if reading his mind answered, "Vivian will grow up to become a Crime Syndicate Leader." Chronos just answered Mark's question but now he had more questions than answers. Chronos continued, "Now as I was asking you, why isn't Regina a frozen doll yet? It has to be done soon. Before she awakens." Mark shrugged off the Vivian stuff for now and now was REALLY curious. "Awakens? Does she have powers too? Is that why she has so much potential?" asked Mark. Chronos' expression shifted into worry for one moment. "Regina has been chosen to recieve powers soon by Atropos. One of the Three Fates. This is in retaliation for me giving powers to you." said Chronos. Mark's mind reeled, he was in the midst of some kind of power duel between gods, "Atropos? So what kind of powers were given?" whispered Mark politely. Chronos sighed, "The power of control. To be frank I don't know if you can permanently freeze her. I haven't checked in on Atropos for a while. Her powers can fluctuate rapidly." Mark thought about Regina for a moment then immediately in his head refuted it, "Listen, Chronos. When she becomes an adult she'll get powers like me, right?" Chronos thought for a moment then nodded, "Most likely. However, at that point she might be too unstoppable to freeze completely."

Mark had a choice to make, to freeze or not to freeze. Or maybe freeze at a later date. Mark looked up at Chronos, "I won't freeze Regina at least yet. I don't even know why her having powers would be so bad." Chronos suddenly with his full power of time SMASHED his fist into Mark's face, obliterating it. Then, using his powers, he brought Mark back. Mark was gasping for air and coughing dead flesh. Chronos put his hand on Mark's shoulder. "There are a few ways our friendship can go. That is one of them. Now, as to the reason for WHY her having powers would be bad is that Atropos can visit her as well and inform her of you. Regina may get manipulated into controlling your body forever. If she does that, I lose my toy. Make your final decision now, Mark."
