Chris and Travis

"I can't believe we both got selected by our teams, small world huh?" Chris, a muscular quarterback for his college football team said as he walked around the mall with his companion.

"Tell me about it, so? What was yours? Mine was 'an embarrassing costume'" Travis said as he recalled how he heard Chris was dared to dress up as something for the college's Halloween party, he said that the swimming team should so something like that too and 'unfortunately' lost the competition and was selected for the dare.

Of course the only thing that didn't go according to his plan was that he will have to wear an 'embarrassing costume'.

"They told me to go for a provocative one, I am the eye candy of the team after all" Chris was always sure of himself ever since Travis met him when they were kids, that's right, they are childhood friends.

They stopped talking during middle school but their friendship was rekindled when they got in the same class during high school.

Now they both study different majors but meet regularly, usually planned by Travis.

Travis himself was glad that he became friends again with Chris but he didn't expect to develop feelings towards the taller guy, even more so when...

"I just hope no fags think they have a shot just because I'm showing some skin" Chris is a bit of an homophobe with a dash of toxic masculinity.

"Well, first we should find a costume store" Travis sighed as he looked around the mall they were walking in, he was gay and had a huge crush on his friend, he even went to the length of scheme his way into going shopping with him and he couldn't even be honest about his wants.

"Oh? Dude I found one, easy, it's even called Costume store and all, man I love stores that don't waste your time, let's go" The football played speed walked to the store and Travis had **** but to follow.

When they entered the store they were both hit with a dusty and old smell.

"Welcome, do close the door when you get in, don't let the fresh air out" the clerk, an old man around his 50s welcomed them both, Chris walked over to the man while Travis gave a glance over the shop, for a small shop in a corner of the mall it looked surprisingly spacious, like if the inside were bigger than the outside.

"Heya old man we need some customers for a Halloween party, I need a provocative costume and my bud needs an embarrassing one, any recs?"

The clerk looked them up and down with a knowing smile, his eyes lingering on Travis' lean frame before speaking, "Oh, I have just the things for you boys, this way"

The old man led the pair deep inside the shop, on the places closer to the entrance the costumes were basic enough, doctor, cop, sports uniforms but the deeper they went the more specific and risque the costumes grew.

"Now let me get this right, the both of you need a costume for a Halloween party so you both should be able to be recognized as 'yourselves' but with a costume and it should be adequate for modern times? You" he pointed to Chris "a provocative one and you" he pointed to Travis "an embarrassing one, am I correct?"

The boys looked at each other with confusion and looked back at the clerk "Yes?" Answered Travis.

"Very well, how about this one? I would say it's plenty provocative, it doesn't include underwear but you can add it if you want" The old man pulled a hanger with fur lined cloths and a horned helmet from further in as most costumes have accessories that cannot be packed or hanged.

"Sexy Viking Warrior" Chris read from the tag on the Viking's helmet.

"Yes, very much so, the tag will let you know everything you need to know about the particularities of the costume, the changing room is easy to find as it's near the entrance, you just have to follow the arrows" the man pointed at the arrows on the floor neither of them had noticed they were going backwards on.

Travis mentally scratched himself on the head by what he meant by particularities of the costume, obviously he meant the steps to wear it properly but he didn't need to word it so cryptically.

"And you boy, you need an embarrassing one and what better embarrassment than..." The man walked over some hanger to the opposite side and pulled a pink frilly dress that looked vaguely like a maid's dress but pink instead of white and revealing in all the bad ways "This beauty?"

"Wow old man, I know Trav is short and all but he's a guy, if he's gotta be embarrassing at least give him a guy's costume" Chris quickly defended his friend's manliness, not that Travis asked him to but he agreed, not because he didn't want to wear it but because of what Chris's reaction to him wearing it would be.

"Ah but that's were you show your lacking mister, this" the clerk grabs the maid(?) costume by the shoulders "Is a man's costume, designed specifically to be embarrassing"

That seemed to shake Chris' resolve "I guess crossdressing IS the most embarrassing guy could do..." Chris looked at Travis, mocking a thinking face.

Travis looked at his friend deadpanned.

"It would be funny?" The jock tried to joke at which Travis sighed.

The clerk noticing the **** Travis cleared his throat "If you don't like the costumes you are always welcomed to explore the possibilities my costume shop possesses, it has quite the number of outfits for you two to choose, any and all are a one size fits all do don't worry about the details other than those of the tags, if the costume doesn't fit it will be given for free" with that the man turned around and went back to the stores entrance.

"Sweet free costume dude, you could show him how it doesn't fit you and you'll get some kinky clothes for chicks dude"
