Chop it!

With sword in hand, you hack at the monster and slice it cleanly in two... before realising your mistake! You remember that this monster eats inorganic materials and your sword is a tasty snack! As you full it away, you see that half the blade has been corroded away, leaving you with a useless weapon.

The ooze gives a small squelch that may or may not have been a burp. If a slime could look smug.....

Rearing up, the thing attacks! It latches onto your lower half and you struggle, stumbling over yourself! The hiss of dissolving metal fills the air and you look down to see the thing eating away at the lower half of your armour, exposing your clothes beneath. Your poor upbringing has at least saved your modesty however... this thing only eats inorganic fibers and your underclothes are made of a material that is resistant to the creature's acid! However its long tendrils are starting to quest around and you fear what might happen if it finds a way to divest you of your clothes! And as if to add insult to injury, you sense something behind you and half-turn to see the looming form of a much larger purple ooze, coming from a recess behind you. It was a trap all along; the light of your torch prevented you from seeing clearly into the shadows and you have been ambushed by two dangerous monsters!
