Famous last words?
Chloe and Gavin Return
Heather, Hannah and Kurt turned to look down the hall at the sound of a door opening. However, it was the hallway opposite from the one that Robert and Monica had gone down, and the person who emerged from the room was Zack Bishop. His face had much improved since the punching, so much so that Hannah didn’t think he looked hurt at all aside from some light yellowing and puffiness. In fact, she might not have noticed at all had she not heard Kurt mention Zack falling down, outside. To Heather and Kurt though, while they recognised that his face looked less battered, the dark haired teen looked awfully tired and stressed. None of the three would have guessed that he’d just been through a tumultuous threesome with his girlfriend and his ex.
Zack approached the three, initially thinking that it was Heather, Kurt and Victoria standing in the living area. It was only as he drew closer that he realised it wasn’t Victoria standing with the cousins, but Hannah Woodsen, sister of his girlfriend. He did a double take, confirming in his mind that it was indeed Hannah standing in the cabin, before asking, “Hannah? What are you doing here?”
Hannah sighed, tired of every new person asking the same thing of her. “I’m here with Mr. Ravers. Was my sister in there with you?”
In response, Ashley looked around the corner of the door, and saw her sister. “I thought I heard your voice,” the younger blonde called.
Upon seeing Ashley’s face, red, raw and covered in cum, Hannah dashed down the hallway, gripping her little sister by her arms and with alarm, asked, “Are you alright? Did someone hurt you?”
Hannah turned to glare at Zack, who took a step back, next to Heather. But Ashley dismissed Hannah’s concerns, telling her, “It’s worse than it looks. I just need to clean off.”
“Oh, no, you’re not getting away that easily,” Hannah said, following her sister towards the bathroom.
Ashley rolled her eyes but didn’t stop Hannah as she followed the younger blonde into the general bathroom, the door being locked behind them. Only once the siblings had disappeared into the room did Zack turn his attention back to Heather and Kurt, who were both watching him expectantly.
“So, your dad’s here?” Zack asked.
“You’re not getting off that easily either,” Heather insisted. “I had to miss a perfect hiking opportunity to bring Ashley back here. I think I’m owed some answers.”
“I don’t really feel like talking about it right now,” Zack said. “It’s just happened and I’m still wrapping my own head around it all. I guess, for now, I’ll just say that it’s just a relationship problem between me and Ashley.”
“And Lisa,” Kurt interjected.
“How do you know Lisa is involved?” Zack asked, taken aback.
“Chloe mentioned it in the woods. Apparently, Lisa told Gavin that she wanted to get you back or something,” Kurt revealed.
“I’m sure you can guess the rest from there.” Zack frowned. So, Chloe and Gavin had known Lisa’s intentions before today. And neither of them told him. Of course, if it was going to blow up in Ashley’s face, Chloe would have kept it a secret, but Gavin…why hadn’t Gavin, his best friend, told him about his ex-girlfriend’s intentions on getting back together? In fact, Gavin had even forgotten to tell him about jerking off into Ashley’s panties, or his girlfriend jerking him off into those same panties. What else was going on around here that he didn’t know?
“Well, it’s not just my dad,” Heather told him, changing the subject for Zack. “Your mother is here too.”
“Mum?” Zack balked, glancing around. “What is she doing here? Where is she?”
“She did say that she might call up to the cabin yesterday when I was at the clinic,” Kurt admitted, scratching his chin. “Guess I forgot to mention that. But she didn’t say she definitely would or when.”
“Right now, though, she’s in the Queen bedroom, talking to my dad about god knows what,” Heather explained.
“Oh, I think we know,” Kurt said with a smirk.
“Shut up,” Heather glared at her cousin and slapped his arm. “You don’t get to be smug about anything until Gavin, Chloe and Victoria are back, safe and sound.”
“Are they lost or something?” Zack asked.
Heather shook her head. “Not yet, anyway. But this doofus left them in the forest, all by themselves.”
“I’m sure they’re fine.” Zack shrugged. “They’re all very smart. They’ll be able to navigate a trail through the forest easily enough.”
“Yes, thank you,” Kurt cheered, slapping Zack on the shoulder.
“Yeah, I’m sure the guy who has never been on the trail is right.” Heather rolled her eyes. “At least they’re all together…right, Kurt?”
“Uh…well, I mean, Victoria and Gavin wanted to see the caves, and Chloe wanted to go to the waterfall,” Kurt admitted nervously, wincing as he expected Heather to start shouting at him. “And the plan was to split up anyway…”
“Yeah, when there were two of us who knew the paths!” Heather barked. “So, one or two of them could be out there, lost and without any supplies because you’re the one with the rucksack, ugh, you fucking imbecile.”
“Easy,” Zack said in a calm voice. “We don’t know they’re lost yet. We should give them some more time to get back before thinking the worst.”
“I guess you’re righ-”
“YES! They’re here” Kurt shouted, as he heard footsteps approach the cabin. He rushed over and opened the door wide, coming face to face with a surprised redhead. “Oh, um…hi.”
“Hi, Kurt,” Chloe smiled. “So, this is where you disappeared to?”
“Yeah. I, uh…needed to get out of the sun,” Kurt lied, as Chloe passed by, Gavin entering behind her.
“Whose are the new cars?” Gavin asked as Kurt closed the door behind them.
“My mum and her dad,” Zack answered. “Apparently, they’re in one of the bedrooms talking at the minute.”
“Just you two?” Heather asked, looking back and forth between Chloe and Gavin. “Where’s Victoria?”
“She’s not back already?” Gavin bit his lip, his face falling.
“No. She’s supposed to be with you,” Heather’s eyes narrowed as she watched the bespectacled teen. “Why are you with Chloe when Kurt said you went to the caves with Vicky?”
“I had to pee and got turned around. Then I met up with Chloe,” Gavin explained, glossing over certain details, such as the fact that he intentionally left Victoria to find his redheaded friend. “We both assumed that when I didn’t show up that Victoria would just make her way back to the cabin.”
“That’s if she could, Gavin. She could have gotten turned around just as easily as you did,” Heather chastised him. Then looking down the hallway towards the closed bedroom door, she added, “I’m going to inform my dad that one of us might be missing.”
Kurt laughed. “Hah, so that’s what this is about. You’re not concerned for Victoria at all. You just want an excuse to go barging into the room.”
“N-no, that’s not it, not entirely,” Heather muttered irritably. “Victoria is one of my best friends. I really am worried about her out there, alone.”
“Kurt’s right,” Chloe said. “There’s no need to panic yet.”
Heather turned to Zack, looking for some support for her cause. “Don’t you want to know what our parents are talking about?”
“Well, yeah, but…” Zack began, but before he could finish, Heather grabbed his wrist and dragged him down the hall.
“Great, come with me,” she said, giddy and determined.
As they left, Chloe stepped up to Kurt, placing a hand on his arm as she asked, “Can we go talk somewhere?”
“Hm, maybe later,” Kurt said without looking at her. “I want to see how this plays out.”
“Oh…okay then,” Chloe reluctantly agreed, withdrawing her hand.
Down the hallway, Heather slowed her pace, stepping quietly up to the door. She brought a finger to her lips, indicating for Zack to be quiet as she pressed an ear to the door. Much to her annoyance, she couldn’t make out anything of note through the wooden door. Dropping a hand to the handle, she braced to open the door.
“Shouldn’t we knock first?” Zack hissed.
Heather shook her head, and whispered back, “We’ll just peak inside and if we’re not interrupting then we can knock.”
Zack thought that seemed a rather backwards logic but he didn’t have much time to argue. Heather was already pressing down the handle and easing the door open before she even finished her sentence. With the door ajar, open just an inch or so, they both leaned in, squinting through the open sliver into the bedroom.
What's happening on the other side of that door?
