Chloe's appartment, your home away from home?

Chloe pulls into a parking spot outside of a large apartment building, then puts the vehicle in park.

"You haven't been to my apartment yet? Have you?" She smiles at you, clearly excited at the thought of showing her place off, "Lets head up, let you take your pill, then I can show you around!"

She's out her side of the car before you can respond, then circles around to your side to open the door for you. You find the gesture a little odd, but don't think much of it as she takes most of the bags sitting in your lap and starts towards the building.

Closing the car door behind yourself, you have to move quickly to catch up.

On the third floor of the apartment building, Chloe thrusts most of the bags into your arms, nearly causing you to drop all of it, "Hold these for a second," She says before pulling her keys and unlocking her door.When the door swings open, she ushers you in where you find yourself standing in a fairly nice but sparsely decorated studio apartment. "Just drop the bags on the bed over there." She says to you.

You do as she asks, dropping the bags with your new clothes onto the little single bed. As you do so, the pharmacy bag falls on its side and you notice two items inside.

Out of curiosity, you start to reach for them when Chloe arrives to snatch the bag from your grasp. "Here, you'll want this," She says as she hands you a bottle of water. Then she reaches into the bag, rummaging in it for a moment before pulling a box from inside that is clearly labeled as a morning after pill.

I wonder what the pill bottle had in it?

"And take this!" Chloe says once she opens the box and hands you the pill within, "You'll have to share the bed with me if you decide to stay, or you can sleep on the floor if you prefer. Sorry I don't have much furniture." When you look around the room, you can see a chair, the bed, TV stand with a television that's much too small for it and a few small items scattered around the room.

After taking stock of your surroundings, you toss the pill into your mouth and wash it down quickly with the bottle of water Chloe had given you.

Just then, Chloe's phone rings. It barely finishes the first ring before she has it pressed to her ear, "Hey mom!" Pause, "We had a good visit Jesse seemed to be feeling a little better when I headed home," She gives you a wink, "What? She should have been home by now!" The voice coming through the phone becomes louder, though you still can not make out the words, "Mom! Relax. She's fine. I have classes in the morning, so I wanted to get home early, and Jesse asked me to drop her off by the park and she was going to walk the rest of the way home. Said she was a little upset at how her sisters were treating her but didn't want to talk about it. I figured she was just going to cool her head for a bit, or maybe visit a friend for a few minutes or something." The voice on the other end of the phone is softer now, but still agitated, "No mom, she didn't say where else she would have been headed. If she's not home by now, I'm sure she either will be soon, or she decided to go visit a friend for a little bit or something." The other voice cuts in for a few seconds, "Geeze mom, yes, I dropped her off at the park just a couple of blocks away from you guys. I think after visiting family there all my life, I can find the right park.," Chloe rolls her eyes as her mom continues to speak on the other end of the line, "Mom, stop and think for a second. If I dropped her off and she didn't tell me where she was going, I'm not going to know where she is. How about you try calling her for answers, I'm sure she has a much better idea of where she is." There's another pause while Aunt Peg talks on the other end of the line, "I'm sure its fine. I love you too mom."

Hanging up the phone, she tosses it onto the bed before looking you in the eyes, "You're phone's going to ring," She smirks.

You don't have time to reply before your own phone begins to ring.
