Check with another resident

Leanne had to know for sure. She couldn't start harassing old ladies without proof that they'd done something first. She stepped towards the room opposite Tom's and knocked on the door. She heard a voice from inside and entered to find three old men sat around talking.

'Maybe this wasn't the best room,' she thought nervously. But before she could back out one of the men stood up to welcome her inside.

"Come in, come in." he grinned. "Don't be shy."

Leanne felt apprehensive but smiled back anyway as she was led to a chair. "So, um, I'm Leanne." she began. "I'm a volunteer here today."

"Very nice to meet you, Leanne." replied the first old man. "My name's Joe. That's Arthur and George."

"Nice to meet you," she responded with a little wave.

"What's going on with your clothes, Leanne?" asked Arthur. "You're dressed like my ex-wife." The three men laughed at that while the girl sat clinging to her chair feeling no less nervous.

"If you wanted to dress up for Halloween a ghost would've been better," added George. Again the three pensioners laughed.

Leanne couldn't take the tension. She wasn't even sure if the old woman had done something to her. But she didn't want to risk it with three old men. They seemed nice enough but as soon as one of them suggested something inappropriate she might not be able to stop herself.
