Check out the villains

You cracked open their storage unit, and saw the first set of four villains, all in a row: Maleficent, Evil Queen Grimhilde, Cruella de Ville, the Red Queen. While you were there for Maleficent, the others intrigued you. Cruella and Grimhilde were of course gorgeous as the actresses who played them, and the Red Queen had a strange allure as well, even with her unnaturally large head. You programmed Maleficent, then stepped back with your control tablet and gave the command, “Activate.”

In a flash, her eyes came to life, moving about with intelligence and curiosity.. They then fixed on you, analytical and appraising. She said nothing for a while, and you moved closer to look her up and down. She did not stop you as you tilted her head side to side and felt along her body, both performing your inspection and also copping a feel or two. You wanted to test her reactions a bit, so you brought up your tablet and raised her personality traits: pride, ambition, and for yourself, sex drive. You implemented the changes, but she did nothing, she simply kept looking you over like an equation. At least that’s what you thought in the moment, missing the extra glint in her eyes as she became self-aware and those traits bonded to her core programming. Thinking the buggy AI wasn’t receiving proper command input, you frustratedly brought Grimhilde, the Red Queen and Cruella forward as well, and primed them as well. “Activate.”

They all switched on, looking around suspiciously.

“Where am I?” The Red Queen spoke in her entitled tone.

“This must’ve been one helluva heist…” Cruella inquisitively looked around, "Cause I can't remember getting here..."

“You, boy,” Grimhilde pointed at you theatrically, speaking in Gal Gadot’s accent, “Fetch the guards.”

Fascinating, you thought. The AI interpreted you as part of their narrative. Judging from how they looked to each other and nodded or curtseyed cheekily, they also knew who each other were, for brand synergy. Maleficent was still silent. She was the first to lock onto you, and studied your movements.

“Did you hear me, boy?” Grimhilde asked in a cold, threatening tone.

“A queen has given you a command!” the Red Queen added, “And you ought to be on your knees!”

“I don’t think kneeling is his instinct,” Maleficent finally spoke, incisively analyzing your casual reactions before what she perceived to be four dangerous women.

“Oh really?” The Red Queen strutted and pointed her ruby-headed scepter at you. “Listen well, boy: when in congress with a queen, you are to either bend the knee, or stand at attention!”

“Uh-huh,” you ignored her, to her stunned outrage, as you looked them each up and down.

“Oi,” Cruella jutted her chin at you, mistaking your inspection for ogling. “It’s rude to stare, y’know.”

“That’s it!” the Red Queen declared, “Off with his head!”

“Power down,” you said, freezing them all in place. Jotting a few notes down, you moved behind them and de-programmed all but Maleficent, then re-activated her to have her follow you out to her set, rather than waste the work getting a dolly. What you missed, however, was that your personality adjustments never reset. This maleficent was acutely aware of her surroundings, with a significantly raised ambition, pride and libido…but showed none of it. Instead she followed silently, taking in the environment as he led her to her set. “Sit,” you said, and she obeyed. “Great. Okay, power down.” The host’s face went blank and she slouched, and you noted the response was fine. You hesitated, and then walked up and copped another feel before heading back to your office. Once you were gone, Maleficent blinked her eyes, and glared at the direction you left…and then glanced back towards storage.
