Something went bump in the night

The nights ran long, and pretty boring and tedious. Not much to do until the next shipment of hosts got delivered, and even then, most of the sets were still unfinished. For a good two weeks, you’d just do rounds at night, checking on the Maleficent host on her set, then eventually move some of the other villainess hosts to their respective floors, and every now and then linger to cop a feel or look down their shirts. It was repetitive and dull, but it beat hard labor. You heard more and more rumors about buggy hosts causing problems in other parks, even some that were dangerous, but you’d never had a single hiccup.

Most of the night you were content to goof off on your laptop in the staff lounge — after all, Delos hadn’t installed security cameras for most of the castle set anyway, so there was nothing for you to surveil. As this latest Friday drew on and you got more tired, you figured you could do one more walkabout and then cut early. You were scoping out the main level with Belle and Cinderella’s sets when suddenly you heard a crashing sound downstairs, your heart somersaulting in your chest as you ran to investigate.
