Check in On Vox and Belleza.

Belleza is sleeping in bed, her nude form still barely covered, in her sleeping state she doesn't notice as someone enters the room, until that person is on the bed and grabs her starting to shake her, "Bell... Bell wake up!" the person yells and Belleza gasps and opens her eyes to see Vox's face over hers, she looks scared.

"N- I mean Vox, what's going on?" she asks as she sits up.

"Get dressed we need to get the fuck out of here," Vox answers as she gets off of Belleza and starts to look around the room for Belleza's clothes. Belleza gets out of bed to help look and then she hears yelling from nearby.

"What's that?" Belleza asks and Vox turns to her.

"The reason we need to get out of here, Doom and everyone else is over at Saluma and it seems some of the people here put two and two together and realized the only people left here are the two of us and they're..." she hesitates, "look they want their city back and we're going to give it back, but if they catch us before we get the hell out of here there's no telling what they'll do to us, so hurry up and get ready!" Vox explains.

Belleza's eyes widen as she hears this and begins to scramble to get dressed when there's a crash nearby and Vox freezes, "they... They're inside. This is a palace, there has to be another way out, right?" Vox asks, not really talking to Belleza who finishes getting dressed, as she goes over to the bedroom door, closing it for the moment as she tries to think.

"There probably are other ways out, but... I don't know any of them," Belleza says fearfully and Vox swears.

"Stupid Doom... He should have taken us with!" she yells, putting her head in her hands as she desperately tries to think.

"He thought it would be too dangerous," Belleza defends him before realizing how stupid that sounds in this context and she sighs, "don't give up yet! We can get out of here, I have an idea," she says and puts a hand on Vox's shoulder before stepping away and turning around to look around the room.

There's a crash from very nearby and then a female voice screams, "Hey asshole! That stuff is still mine! Be careful!"

"Oh fuck off, you really think anyone cares about your opinion anymore? Look at you, branded, pregnant with that monster's child! You're a disgrace," a second male voice speaks and then there's silence for a moment before the sound of a fire mixed with masculine screams and Vox steps away from the door.

"Sounds like they let The Regent out of the prison..." she says and then looks to Belleza, "whatever your plan is, you better finish it quick," she says as footsteps begin to approach down the hall outside. Belleza merely nods and then closes her eyes, her hands flinging out in front of her and then spreading apart slowly as a staff begins to appear between her outstretched hands and Vox hesitates, watching this, "Bell what are y-" she starts before being interrupted by two loud sounds.

The first sound is the activation of Belleza's magic as she summons forth an explosion detonating an entire section of wall and making a hole leading to outside, the second is the door to the room exploding and The Regent entering. She's clothed herself in her hat and a seemingly hastily acquired shirt and skirt, the shirt is too small to cover her completely and so only serves to cover her breasts, leaving Doom's brand upon her body, almost fully visible, the bottom most part hidden behind the hem of the skirt. she spots the two women and with a flick of her wrist she launches a fireball at them, Vox raises her hands in a **** attempt to protect herself, but instead of being hit with fire, she feels a boiling steam reach her instead, it still hurts scalding her arms, but it dissipates quickly and she lowers her arms to see that Belleza had protected them both, summoning forth a wall of water. The Regent fires off more fireballs, trying to melt through the wall.

"Vox... Go. You can escape through the hole in the wall, reach the gate and escape this city," Belleza says as she faces down the Regent and Vox hesitates.

"Bell... I'm not going to leave you," Vox states angrily, but Belleza shakes her head.

"I'm not going to be able to beat her... even if I could she has reinforcements that will be here soon," Bell responds as she moves closer to the Regent and surreptitiously positioning herself between her and Vox, "if we run, I could maybe protect us from her as we fled, but we wouldn't get very far before her reinforcements could block off our escape. I could definitely hold her off and her reinforcements long enough for you to get away though," she explains and Vox moves up behind Belleza and hugs her.

"Bell, I can't leave you! I'd rather stay and face whatever comes together!" she sobs, pressing her face against Belleza's shoulder.

"Nadia... Doom may not know it... but he needs you... He needs you much more than he needs me," Bell responds.

"I don't care what that bastard needs!" Vox yells and Belleza hesitates.

"I know... So do it for me instead. I couldn't stand to see anything happen to you and the rest of the followers will also need you," Belleza says and Vox hugs her tighter.

"Leah... Please... I don't want to leave you..." Vox states and Belleza whispers something quieter to her.

"They won't kill me. Not when they realize I'm marked... You need to go... You need to make sure the others find out what happened, it's the only way you'll be able to rescue me," she whispers and Vox blinks and then nods.

"Okay... Stay alive. I'll... I'll get help," she says and turns fleeing towards the hole. She jumps from the hole, landing on the ground and rolls before continuing to run, heading through the streets as quickly as she can towards the nearest gate.

Meanwhile Belleza drops the wall of water once Vox has fled and the water instead surges forth attempting to slam into The Regent. She responds with a burst of controlled flame, that evaporates the water, but she's caught off guard as Belleza launches a rock along the geyser of water which passes through the flame unharmed and slams into The Regent's stomach knocking her onto her ass and making her wretch violently.

"Oh my apologies, I wouldn't want to hurt Master Doom's child," Belleza taunts and The Regent growls as she gets back up.

"Why does everyone think I'm pregnant with that creature's foul spawn?! I'm not pregnant! There's no proof I'm pregnant!" She screams and fires a wave of flame at Belleza. Belleza pulls up a wall of Rock, but the flame is hot enough it quickly melts the wall into molten rock, some of which splashes out towards Belleza making her yelp and back away, The Regent carries forward hitting her with a swirling vortex of flame that burns her flesh and clothes and knocks her to the ground.

She lands on her back, her clothes burned to ash and her skin a deep red colour, burned from the heat, the regent approaches her and sniffs, "you'll live," she states angrily and then spots the glowing mark on Belleza's now naked body. More of the Regent's men have arrived and she commands some to take Belleza and lock her up, "looks like we have something special here," The Regent states as she watches Belleza's injured body being picked up by some of the men.

Meanwhile Vox has slipped out of the city walls and stops a bit further away, it's not safe to head to Saluma yet, she can see that the Capital's armies are returning, she'll never make it inside. She heads out towards the north instead, she'll find somewhere to hide for the moment and then she'll find Doom once the battle is over. She reaches a hand up to wipe the tears from her eyes, trying not to imagine what might be happening to her sister.
