Chat up the Girl

You pivot in the limited space you have, turning towards the Leontes girl from before. Sure, she might have looked a little nerdy, and you ran the risk of that fellow pushing you around again for flirting with his Housemate... but what was the worst he could do? Throw you into the lake? You turn up your lips into a warm smile before reaching out to tap her shoulder.

"Excuse me miss. My apologies for getting in your way earlier." You say, attempting to hide the nervous sense of impending danger as you squeeze your way into the pack of returning students. "I was just trying to avoid that gentleman over there... but it looks like I got in your way instead." You point towards the rude fellow.

"No, it's alright." She answers, voice stuttering at bit as she looks at you closely, seeming to be in slight disbelief. In the chaos, it hard to read her exactly... but with less then a dozen other upperclassmen on board, you don't have time to turn on your full charm. You boldly hold out your hand to her, as if offering an escort.

"Please, let me help you down." Your heart pounds in your chest as you wait for her response.
