Charlie B. Barkin, from All Dogs Go to Heaven

Many old movies offer some good material for characters. It is easy to find talking animals in the old animation movies. It has always been a popular theme. Either they are animals that can actually talk to people, or animals that talk among themselves and the humans were not able to understand them.

Of course, some of the older movies were not as known by the younger generation, as these people grew up with other characters. Still, if you knew your characters, you could be able to recognize them. As an example of Josh, who was able to recognize a specific character among the males of the selection menu, with a name underneath: CHARLES B. BARKIN.

Now, someone of the earlier generations could have problem to recognize the character. But Josh was a hardcore furry fan, and he was able to recognize the dog depicted in that. He was the main character of a movie called All Dogs Go to Heaven, which was about a recently deceased dog who died and went to heaven only to find his way back to Earth and help a young girl who can talk to animals, putting his life and his soul at risk. It was a movie that gave birth to a sequel and a television series.

Now, the dogs of the movie are not anthropomorphic by default, but we all know that this is no impediment for the furries and Rule 34 artists in general.

“I’ll go for Charlie B. Barkin.” Josh said, looking at the picture of the dog, which was selected, and the entire menu then opened in half as if it was a gate, and revealed Fursona standing behind it. Soon, his body started to change before Josh’s eyes, acquiring a more canine like appearance. His muscles became smaller, as his body became more like what the body of the original Charlie would be if he was an anthro, and then, colors were added. Shades of brown appeared on the body of the dog, which was suddenly wearing a pair of white boxers with white hearts. Then, more clothes appeared, a ripped pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket. The choice of clothing somehow fit the type of life that Charlie had before dying, as he had been a vagabond all of his life, and having gone back to Earth simply out of desire to continue to live like a scoundrel.

Now, Charlie opened his eyes, looking at the human that was now standing before him. He opened a smile.

“So, I am your choice, ain’t I, boy?” He asked, smilling a toothy smile at the human, “Well, can’t really blame you. After all, I am probably the prettiest face around here. So, now that I am here, I guess we should go to business, right?”

“So, how are we doing this?” Charlie asked, looking back at Josh, “Are we going to play a programmed scenario, or do you prefer to share a free experience with this bad dog?”
