Character Sheet

This Chapter contains minor spoilers for the story, mostly just brief descriptions of the characters and their past. I've tried to keep out as much of the spoilers as I can and the characters are seperated by which part of the story they appear in. If you are concerned about spoilers i suggest just looking back at the chapter when the character is introduced. Or have a look at them all at once, you do you. I have used AI to make the images so they're not all exactly how I picture the characters, but they're close enough for me.

Part 1: The Village

Aucus:

Aucus is a ruggedly handsome guy with common brown eyes and startlingly white hair which has been the source of some bullying since he was a child. As a child he had a pudgy body but in the past few years he has become quite muscular and toned as a result of training with his mother and Mr. Brakker. With this training he has also become somewhat proficient with the use of sword and shield as well as some strategy in dealing with monsters and dungeons.

Aucus has wanted to travel to the capital and take the divinities test, to see if he can become an adventurer like his mother and father, since he turned eighteen and was old enough to go two years ago. However with the way that trading has been going he has been needed in the village to help his mother in that time, though it did give him more opportunity to train. He is hoping that this year he will finally be able to go.

Sephenia:

Sephenia is Aucus’ mother and in her youth was an adventurer for one of the three great temples in the capital. As an adventurer she was a warrior, primarily using sword and shield in combat with high defensive capabilities and being able to deal a good amount of damage. Her spirit is that of a water spirit, making her a disciple of the temple of Soras the elemental goddess; since she settled down in the village however her spirit rarely materialises.

Sephenia was young when she gave birth to Aucus and with the loss of her husband during her pregnancy combined with a brush with **** herself when she was exploring a dungeon she decided to retire from adventuring. She settled down in the village and tried to become a farmer, however when some monsters began to attack the village and she defended it from them she started to make most of her money from hunting monsters and being paid for it by the lord of the village.

A few years after she settled in the village, another adventurer also moved there after retiring. Although Canis Brakker easily had a decade or more on Sephenia, the two of them had a brief relationship and then became an on again off again deal.

Unlike her son, Sephenia has long raven black hair and blue eyes, in spite of being middle aged she is still very beautiful with a figure that comes from years of adventuring and hasn’t left her despite settling down. She had received a number of proposals from the men of the village and even one from a boy, though she turned them all down as none of them matched up to the husband that she had lost.

Elsie:

Elsie is a childhood friend of Aucus and the girl that he loves, they have been close forever with the two of them and Henry forming their friendship group. Elsie also wants to become an adventurer, always dreaming about life outside of the village and travelling the world with Aucus. She works hard to become suited for the adventurer life, though her talents are not quite proficient with combat, she has displayed some skill with elemental magic and is able to make attacks with water and some weak ability with earth. She has been trying to develop fire magic though has had no luck so far.

Her mother works as a servant in the manor of lord Beckront and the two of them with her sister live there in the servant quarters. She sometimes helps her mother with her work there and the lord has allowed her to have supervised access to his library so that she can learn more about developing her magical abilities.

Elsie is a beautiful girl with long red hair, green eyes, and pale skin, though recently she has been getting more tanned as she spends more time outside training to become an adventurer.

Henry:

Henry is the third member of the friendship group with Aucus and Elsie, he is Aucus’ best friend though he is not interested in becoming an adventurer. Like Aucus he has been the victim of bullying in the village though for him it was because of his weight. Being the son of the village bakers he has gained some fat in his years and is an easy target because of it.

Henry is a friendly guy who despite his bullying always manages to be cheerful. He has a plump figure with brown hair and matching eyes. Though he is hopeless with a sword or any kind of fighting for that matter, he has become a good baker and cook as he learns from his parents. When he is not helping his mother and father with their work, he spends his time with Aucus and Elsie, though he also likes to help out the farmers who let him have some ingredients for his cooking as a reward.

Lord Beckront:

Lord Beckront is a kindly old man who is the lord of the village and the surrounding lands including two other villages, his manor is about an hour walk away from the village, so he spends most of his time there as opposed to the other two villages. Unlike the stories of other lords, he treats the villagers well and is friendly with most of them, treating them as his equals as opposed to his property. He lost his wife a few years ago and has no heirs as she was unable to bear children, because of this he acts fatherly with the children of the village.

He is an old man though still physically strong with white hair from age and brown eyes, more often than not he is smiling and cheerful. He was an adventurer in his youth though he stopped to govern lands after a few years as he found it to be too dangerous for his liking. As an adventurer his spirit is that of a wolf, making him a disciple of Tallaque the goddess of beasts.

Canis Brakker:

Canis was an adventurer like Sephenia for many years before he retired, as a result of his life he sports many scars, a missing finger, and a missing eye. He retired after losing his eye as he became slower in fights and now having only one eye put him at a severe disadvantage it made it more than likely he would die within a year if he stayed adventuring. In the village he became a hunter, using his skills with the spear and bow to hunt in the woods. As an adventurer his spirit is the archer, making him a disciple of Cleonora the goddess of avatars, he has no magical abilities.

After moving to the village he started a relationship with Sephenia and has been somewhat close to Aucus because of this, even during the time when he is not with Sephenia. He has taught Aucus to use a bow and the basics of using weapons other than the sword as well as strategy and tactics for fighting different types of monsters and for exploring dungeons.

Canis is becoming old with streaks of white appearing in his once thick curly brown hair, he has piercing brown eyes that despite his age are still better than anyone else’s in the village. Whilst he is not physically large, he is quite strong and fast with a toned body and good sense that his job as a hunter helps him to maintain.

Clen:

Clen is a village tuff and the one behind most of the bullying that Aucus and Henry receive, like Aucus he also intends to become an adventurer and has been training with his fathers axe. Because of his training and naturally strong build he can deal powerful blows with his axe and would likely be able to cut monsters in two with a single slash.

He has a muscular body and is quite tall with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, giving him an intimidating appearance. He is somewhat good looking, though sees himself as better looking than he actually is and makes boasts of the girls that he has been with though for the most part those boasts are just lies.

He surrounds himself with a group of other village boys that compete for his attention, and he uses to bully others with, targeting mainly Henry and Aucus.

Kira:

Kira is a member of Clen’s group and like him also wants to become an adventurer though it is not clear what she intends to do as an adventurer as she is not particularly skilled with weapons and has shown little ability with magic so far. As children, Henry had a crush on Kira like most of the boys in the village though this stopped after she began hanging out with Clen and his cronies and took a particular joy in bullying henry.

Kira is a beautiful girl with long blonde hair and brown eyes, she has an excellent figure and is not against using her beauty to get what she wants. She is rumoured to sleep around with the guys in Clen’s group and seems to be very close with Clen himself. However despite this she has a bit of a crush on Aucus which annoys Clen a lot when he sees her showing it.

Lord Harod Motten:

Lord Motten is the lord sent to replace Beckront following his ****, he is very disdainful of the villagers who he sees as below him and existing to serve his purposes. He does not go into the village as much as Lord Beckront did, preferring to remain in the manor with its luxuries and comforts and only going into the village himself when his duties **** him to.

He was an adventurer too and was **** to retire after his fathers **** and he inherited his title and responsibilities. Until he was given Lord Beckront’s lands to govern he resided in the capital, spending most of his time with other nobles and enjoying the excessive luxuries found there. As an adventurer his spirit is a bear, making him one of the more powerful disciples of Tallaque.

Lord Motten has black hair and dark eyes that almost match his hair, with a powerful and imposing physique and a few scars on his body though he made sure not to get any on his face. Lord Motten is quite cruel and far from honourable, enjoying the privilege of owning a harem that has been allowed to nobles since the thousand wars.

Zarin Motten:

The son of Lord Harod Motten, he is similarly disdainful of the village and its people and is resentful of being **** to move here away from the city. However unlike his father he does not show this and is charming to the villagers, especially the women. In private however he is more malicious and decides who he does not like easily, committing to making their lives hell.

Zarin, like his father, has black hair though he has blue eyes, he has a toned body and is very handsome, becoming the subject of much discussion with the girls of the village. He wishes to become an adventurer and intends to leave the village as soon as possible to do so, having been given the best teachers to train him for many years. He does not have magical abilities; however he is a very skilled fighter and is trained with a number of weapons including sword, axe, spear, knives, and shield.

Part 2: Pilgrimage to Alynthir

Korin:

Korin is a dwarf from the mountain kingdom of the dwarves, he is young for his people, in his mid-forties though his race can live for upwards of three hundred years. The custom in the dwarven kingdom is that they do not leave the mountains until they are one hundred years old in an attempt to preserve the culture and traditions of their people. Korin managed to escape and is eager to become an adventurer and earn a name for himself.

Being a dwarf, he has a diminutive stature and is quite strong from the time that he worked in the dwarven mines. He has red hair and a beard as is common among dwarves, he has green eyes and a penchant for ****.

Sara:

Sara is a young girl from a village in the human kingdom, she is **** to speak of her past and eager to start a new life as an adventurer. While she can come off as shy, she has a friendly personality and is very protective of those that she is close to.

Sara has a pretty face with an athletic body, she has green eyes and blonde hair that more often than not is a dirty colour from her time spent outside and travelling, being a village girl she has never found cleaning it to be that important. She has a small chest and a large rear, making her attractive to those that meet her, despite her low birth.

Rayall:

Rayall is a half-elf and grew up in a village on the border of the human and elven kingdoms. He has had little experience with humans and as a result are not always accustomed to their quirks and culture, often making people uncomfortable by saying the things that are on his mind.

As a half-elf, he has the pointed ears of elves and the delicate features common among them. He has long silver hair and blue eyes, a slender though athletic body and an ageless face that makes it difficult to place his ages, though he appears to be a similar age to Aucus and Sara.

Opal:

Opal is an adventurer and a disciple of the temple of Soras, in her youth she was in the same party as Aucus’ mother and father. As a party they became quite successful and now live off the spoils of their adventures. She is a middle-aged woman though looks good for her age with a youthful appearance. She is a sexually active woman and is especially fond of younger men, often flirting with those that are available to her

Opal is a beautiful woman, she has long golden hair, blue eyes, and full lips. She has large breasts and often likes to show off the impressive cleavage that she possesses. She wears makeup lightly and is fond of expensive dresses that reveal her body.

Bella:

Like Opal, Bella is an adventurer and a disciple of Soras who used to be in the same adventuring party as Aucus’s parents in her youth and now lives off of their spoils. She lives with Opal in the temple of Soras and the two of them are quite close, almost like sisters. She is not quite as blatant in her flirtations as Bella but has had many companions in her years

She is middle-aged, having recently turned forty though she wears her years well and is still very attractive. She has long black hair and brown eyes, high cheekbones and wears a deep tan on her skin. She has the athletic body of an adventurer and a similarly large bust to Opal though she is more modest in her choice of clothing

Calendis:

Calendis is an advisor to the Crown, he lives and works within the citadel in Alynthir. He is one of the few advisors that is trusted by the queen and her brother and is often assigned important tasks such as conducting the test of divinities. He possesses a spirit and is technically an adventurer though his work consists more of paperwork than monsters. For an advisor he is young, in his late twenties with a youthful face. He is knowledgeable of the kingdoms past, including the secret histories that have been hidden from the public.

Calendis has a youthful appearance, with short black hair, dark eyes and wears glasses. He has a slender figure and is often thought of as skinny with sharp features and a hooked nose. His wardrobe consists almost exclusively of the citadel robes that are worn by those that work there

Celeste:

Queen Celeste is the ruler of the human kingdom of Eldria, she has held the position for a number of years since her parents passed. In that time she has done a fine job of ruling the kingdom, though it has been nothing particularly special. She lives within the Citadel, the centre of the royal capital of Alynthir and many of her duties include ceremonies, speeches, and signing documents that her advisors present to her. It is expected that she will marry soon so that the royal line will be preserved.

Celeste is a beautiful woman with a queenly presence, she is approaching her late twenties and has a pretty face with long brown hair that is often styled differently by her handmaids. She has a slender figure with a large bosom, pale blue eyes and is the desire of many respectable bachelors within the kingdom. She has received many proposals in her life though each one she has turned down.

Orsat:

Prince Orsat is the younger brother of Queen Celeste, he takes a hand in helping his sister rule the kingdom though he has a habit of keeping some things hidden from his sister, believing he is doing what is best. He enjoys the luxuries of his position including the riches, the food and the women that throw themselves at him, though despite it all he still tries to remain a good man.

Orsat is in his mid-twenties, with the same brown hair and handsome features as his sister possesses. As a result of his position as Prince, he has became plumper than he would like with a round belly that he tries to keep hidden in public settings. He has brown eyes that match his hair and when not needed for public appearances will dress in simpler clothing that is more practical and comfortable to him

Cleo:

Cleo is a young adventurer assigned to the same group as Aucus for their training withing the citadel. She comes from a wealthy family and has been somewhat sheltered in her youth, whilst she isn’t of the noble class, she often rubbed shoulders with nobles when growing up. She finds the idea of being an adventurer exciting and wishes to help people, but she hasn’t had much experience with fighting and **** as a child before becoming an adventurer. She has a bubbly personality and is always eager to make friends.

She has long blonde hair, green eyes, and a pretty face, her lips are almost always twisted into a smile. She has a slightly plumper figure than most women as a result of the diet that a wealthy family can provide. Being slightly larger, her chest has benefited from her figure and she has large breasts. She often dresses modestly and favours more “girly” style clothing

Sybil

Sybil was raised in Alynthir though not in the wealthy districts. She was an orphan in the slums and struggled to get from one day to the next, being a small woman she was victimised by the gangs in the slums and saw the test of divinities as one last opportunity to escape her fate. She does not trust people easily and keeps to herself at most times though can be quite cutting when she needs to be.

She has shoulder length black hair and brown eyes, her face is not traditionally pretty having received many injuries and scars in the slums though it has a unique kind of appeal. She has pale skin and a skinny figure as a result of her lack of proper nutrition, she has a small chest and has a particular distaste of extravagant clothing, preferring practical clothing that she can fight in when she needs to.
