Her polished, elegant attire, often featuring elegant gowns or sharp cocktail dresses, blends old-world glamour with modern flair.
Relationship to Andy: Host of the show. Friend.
Bio: She's the Host of The HH. She wrote Andy an invitation letter to join the resort on the day he closed the sale of his app. That night, she took him to the resort. Turns out she's one of the very first generation of Hosts, and has run at least 3,700 seasons on Earth, possibly more elsewhere. She has connections, and at least once, she accepted a contract extension. She claims sisterhood with Anna, and is good friends with Herman. She knows a mysterious ferryman, as well as "Wasir" and "Rusat", whoever they may be. Her very first season on Earth was during Sumerian times, with a Master called Abi-Eshu. She's mentioned to Andy that there have been three Masters (at least) that left a mark on her, two of which were deep disappointments. Abi-Eshu, a Master called Greg, and (the only one who hasn't disappointed her so far) Andy himself. She's been planning Laura's resurrection for sixteen years, apparently.

The Master: Andrew Michael "Andy" Cooper

Age: 30
Job: App developer, software engineer, entrepreneur.
Appearance: Standing at 6'8" with an athletic build, Andy has short brown hair, thoughtful green eyes, and a stubble beard that gives him a rugged, introspective charm. His casual-smart style — rolled-up sleeves, fitted jeans, and understated details — reflects a man trying to appear put-together while quietly carrying old wounds. He has grown more muscular and well-defined since arriving on The HH, and has grown by at least 6'' thanks to his High Achiever Gift.
Relationship to Andy: The man himself.
Bio: Andy is a quietly charismatic entrepreneur who founded a successful safety app startup called 'aural', designed to summon help instantly in dangerous situations. He later sold the company to help it grow, leaving him financially comfortable but emotionally adrift. In his childhood, he was inseparable from the next-door neighbor, Laura, to whom he was indissolubly connected, and whom he referred to as his "soulmate" and "other half"; when she died after saving him from the Willow Run river, something broke within him. The trauma has been of such magnitude that it colored all his relationships since. Since coming to The HH, he has healed as much as he could, considering the constant yawning emptiness left behind by Laura's ****. Being **** to confront the events surrounding her passing (via Chloe, Riley, and Myra) has been difficult for him. Still, he has made great strides in the last two months, and the girls threw him a birthday party to remember.
In the oneiric Garden of Glass, shortly afterwards, he could not watch her drown again, especially after learning her last words. So he jumped into the river and rescued her. Although he didn't know it at the time, in doing so, he performed the last step in a complex ritual enacted by Arabella to resurrect Laura. Now she's back... and Andy has to figure out what that means for her, for himself, and for the harem as a whole.

Gifts:

Soulbond: Although not an actual Gift or transformation, Andy has shared a soulbond with Laura for as long as he can remember. They always know the exact location of each other, and can use the bond to find each other even if lost in a crowd. They always know when the other one is distressed, upset, angry, afraid, or anxious. When close to each other, the bond makes both feel safe, grounding them and helping them resolve heightened emotional states: this effect is more pronounced if they're in physical contact with each other. The origins of the bond are unclear, but when Laura died, Andy felt the empty void where the bond lived and knew she had died before anyone even told him. Subsequently, the void left by the bond could never be filled, likely a major factor leading Andy to be unable to move on from her ****.
High Achiever 11 (Gift): Andy becomes significantly stronger, tougher, and healthier with each Achievement he earns. He can currently lift around 25,000 pounds. He no longer has a refractory period. All the women bound to him as his harem also become healthier. Andy and the women will age more slowly (the women will remain fertile for longer, too). The rate at which aging slows down depends on the number of Achievements earned by Andy. Currently, Andy and the harem will enjoy a 2.200% increase in lifespan. Because of Coevality, the women of the harem will remain fertile until they die.
Command (Gift) (Capstone): The Master’s voice must be obeyed. When Andy gives a command, anything must obey. The Master must put intent behind his Command; casual sentences do not trigger the Gift. Andy can command anything, including any creature less powerful than he is, as well as Nature itself. If he Commands the seas to stand still, they will obey. He can issue commands even the most dedicated harem members cannot normally obey, such as ordering them not to breathe, or not to hear. The harem member won't suffer any damage from the order or its effects, and will obey even if she cannot hear the order.
Connect (Gift) (Capstone): The Master has done remarkably well in connecting with most of his harem, but more could be done. Andy gains the ability to shift between his normal form and a female equivalent, Andi, and back, at will. As Andi, she will receive the appropriate muscle memory, and will be a woman to all intents and purposes. The Master can, if he wishes, split into Andy and Andi as separate bodies. He can control both bodies perfectly, no matter the distance between them. He can remain split indefinitely, and both bodies remain able to shift at will between their Andy and Andi form. The Andi form becomes attractive to both men and women, regardless of the viewer's sexual orientation. The Master can make minor physical changes to Andi's form, increasing or decreasing her bust size by up to three cups, making minor facial adjustments, changing her height by up to 6'', increasing or decreasing her butt size, changing hair color and length. The Master can pick a physical trait (e.g. wings, tail, animal ears, multiple body parts, oversized breasts, etc.) and assign it to Andi. The Andi form will permanently display that trait until the Master swaps it with another in a process that takes 10 minutes.
Console (Gift): The Master’s skills have discovered a glitch. Andy gains access to console commands. He can input these in the Commissary or in the touchscreen of the Master’s Suite, unlocking cheat codes. A list of currently known cheat codes will appear in the Master’s Suite. Additional codes can be unlocked via further Achievements, or discovered around the island. [UPGRADE] Portable Console: The Master keeps finding glitches. He receives knowledge of additional cheat codes, and is granted a smartwatch he can use to input them on the go. Only the Master can use the smartwatch, and if he loses it, if it is misplaced or tossed away, it instantly returns to his wrist. [UPGRADE] Console++: The Master receives additional cheat codes. If given a chance to study a transformation exhaustively (by having sex with the Contestant for five times in a single round), the Master can create a cheat code which can be used to either apply that transformation to someone else, or tweak it on the original owner, until the end of the round.
Conflate (Gift): The Master likes seeing connections form among the harem. By touching two harem members, he can conflate them so that their emotions average out, they each feel what the other feels (particularly arousals and orgasms), and when they are subject to effects such as temporary or permanent TFs, or assigned scoring during challenges, they both receive the most advantageous of the two results. In the case of TFs, the Contestant who would have received the worse TF will receive the other one instead, but only until Conflate expires, whereupon they will receive the original TF instead. The ability lasts 24 hours or until the Master dismisses it. Only two harem members can be bound at any one time. The Master can use this ability 1/round. [UPGRADE] Conflate+: The Master can use the ability 1/round/contestant. For purposes of keeping track, the ability is considered 'used' on the first contestant touched, the 'source'. He can use this ability no more than 3/round. The Master can also choose to Conflate physical attributes between Source and Recipient, averaging them out. [UPGRADE] One-Way Street: The Master has the ability to create one-directional bonds, allowing the recipient to Conflate with the source, while the source does not experience the effects of Conflate themselves. The Master can also choose to Conflate any or all transformations from Source to Recipient. Furthermore, the Master can use this ability on as many pairs of Contestants as he wishes, provided it is used only once per round on each individual source.
Coauthor (Gift) (Capstone): The Master needs to ensure the Contestants are correctly represented. He can access their descriptions and modify, add or remove up to fifteen words per round per Contestant. The modification can be retroactive or not. The Contestant will not know what has been modified, unless Andy tells them. Coauthor works on any Contestant, including past, eliminated or victorious contestants, even if not belonging to the Master's harem or season. The Master can also affect transformations, including elimination transformations, but cannot weaken or remove transformation effects. Harem Hotel reserves the right to adapt Andy's edits to ensure this rule is followed.
Coevality (Gift): The Master's harem is bound to him. Any harem member will live for as long as the Master lives, and both Master and harem will remain in the prime of their lives until the end of their days. [UPGRADE] Coevality+: The Master's harem is bound against time. Physical suffering by one of the harem members is diffused through the harem, so that it is never significant. The Master has the ability to heal physical injuries suffered by the harem members.
Contribute (Gift): The Master has a say in his harem's transformations. He can temporarily upgrade TFs. He can do so once/Contestant/round, and the upgrade lasts 24 hours.
Correct (Gift): The Master doesn’t abide mistakes. If the Master is aware of a mistake (involving a single instance) made by himself or any of the other Contestants, he can retroactively correct that mistake. He can do so once per round per Contestant, and three times per round for himself.
Comfort (Gift): When a harem member falls asleep thinking of the Master, the Master instantly is aware of this fact. If he is also sleeping, he can create a dreamspace where he can meet her in a lucid dream both will remember upon waking. [UPGRADE] Comfort+: The Master can close his eyes and step into the dreamspace without losing awareness of the waking world. If he does so, he can summon a single harem member to the dreamscape; they'll fall asleep instantly, no matter the situation, and join him there. The Master can use this ability only once per round per active Contestant. [UPGRADE] Sacred Haven: The dreamspace persists even when everyone is awake: any Harem member, with the Master's permission, can enter it physically through any doorway and find refuge there. No one else can enter the dreamspace. The Master is instantly aware when a harem member is in the dreamspace. Multiple harem members can enter the dreamspace at once.

The Consort: Laura Cooper (née Ashford)

Job: Formerly deceased.
Appearance: About 5'0'', with soft, pale skin and long black hair usually worn loose. She has D-cup breasts, Her large, expressive blue eyes hold a curious mix of innocence and weariness. The hue of her eyes is an impossibly electric blue. Her clothing style is simple and slightly out of time—she favors modest, comfortable clothes reminiscent of the early 2000s, reflecting her cultural disconnection. She has a distinctive L-shaped scar on the right side of her jawline, small and quite attractive, caused by her abusive father when she was a child. There are normally two of her, moving in sync.
Relationship to Andy: Soulmate. Other half. Childhood best friend. The girl whose **** broke Andy.
Bio: Laura Ashford is physically and mentally thirty, although she died at thirteen on November 2, 2008. She and Andy were born three days apart (she was born on March 21, 1995), grew up in neighboring houses, and shared a bond so deep that Andy’s mother used to joke they would marry someday. Her father, Greg, was abusive toward Laura and her mother, leaving scars both physical and emotional, including the L-shaped scar from a brutal beating. She spent as much time as possible with Andy and his parents, who treated her as family and gave her the warmth and safety she lacked at home. To everyone who saw them together, Laura and Andy seemed like two halves of the same soul. Her life ended in middle school in the circumstances of the River Incident, the result of jealousy, miscommunication, and betrayal she never fully understood. Sixteen years later, she is resurrected in the body of the woman she would have become. She had a harsh couple of weeks at The HH, struggling with jealousy and with settling back into a life that was fundamentally different while at the same time wondering if she even deserved it. Then she saw how much Andy loves her, how he made sure her **** wasn't remembered only as a cautionary tale, and realized what she wanted. Inanna's sacred marriage on the footbridge made it official, and Laura was assigned the title of Consort.

Transformations:

Soulbond: Although not an actual Gift or transformation, Laura has shared a soulbond with Andy for as long as she can remember. Have a Spare: Andy lost Laura once. Let's make sure it doesn't happen again. Laura is permanently split into two identical selves, although they share a single consciousness. She can control them separately, but the effort it takes is proportional to how different the actions of each body will be (effort is reduced during sex). If she doesn't exert effort, the two bodies will constantly move in sync, copying or mirroring each other. Laura's bodies can't be more than 10 feet away from each other. As Above, So Below: With two selves to manage, Laura can use some simplification. If one body is restrained, the same restriction applies neurologically to both. Job: Conservation specialist.
Appearance: About 5'6", with a lean athletic build, olive skin, sharp dark eyes, and long auburn hair usually tied back. She has huge J-cup breasts. She cannot wear clothes, except for shoes; she's normally seen in battered sneakers or hiking shoes.
Relationship to Andy: Ex-girlfriend. Dated Andy during the last year of college and the year after that. Lived with him for a few months, broke up due to his emotional unavailability. They're back together now.
Bio: Erin is a reserved, determined woman who dated Andy for two years, in his last year of college and the first year after that. After graduating with a degree in environmental science, Erin now works as a conservation specialist for a nonprofit, passionate about protecting natural habitats. She leads a largely independent life and has been involved in a few casual relationships since her breakup with Andy, but she keeps emotional distance to avoid being hurt again. But that's all done with now, since she's back with Andy. He proposed to her five days before the Fourth Challenge, and she accepted. Erin's tough facade hides insecurities born from her childhood, and her parents' messy divorce. They have been further nurtured by her Au Natural and Green Thumb transformations, making her fear she won't even recognize herself when the show is over. Andy's acceptance and love has done a lot to allay her fears, which is part of why Laura's return has unsettled her deeply. She has built a strong sisterly bond with Claire, and a similar bond with Marissa. She has rekindled her friendship with Sam and Liesa, as well. She discovered she is pregnant with Andy's twins, made peace with Laura, and was named Harem Queen shortly afterwards. Andy proposed to her in the Fourth Round. She considers Claire a sister.

Transformations:

Deliberate Connection: Erin was extremely loyal to the Master once. She will find that she needs to rebuild that loyalty now. Erin becomes physically unable to orgasm unless she is directly in sight of the Master. Easing a Troubled Heart: Now that Andy and Erin reconciled, they should enjoy each other's company. As long as Erin is in sunlight at least one hour per day, she doesn't need food to survive. But if she goes too long without sunbathing, she becomes languid, hungry, and needy, craving warmth, touch, food, or for Andy to “tend” her. Appearance: She’s about 5'10", with an athletic build, tan skin, sharp dark eyes, and tightly coiled naturally blue hair. Her clothing is casual but chic—often practical pieces suited to her active lifestyle, like fitted jeans and sneakers.
Relationship to Andy: Andy's best friend. They've had each other's backs since college, and neither could imagine going through life without the other's support.
Bio: Sam is a bright, confident woman who was a college classmate of Andy’s. With her brother, she co-owns "The Blue Bean", a popular local café known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic clientele. She volunteers occasionally at an LGBTQ+ support group. She’s loyal, quick-witted, and fiercely independent. She met Andy in the last year of college, a few months before he started dating Erin. Believing he was developing a crush on her, she gently but clearly told Andy that she was a lesbian, navigating the conversation with warmth and humor. Andy respected her honesty, and over time they developed a deep, supportive friendship that endures to this day. She sees Andy as her brother and would do anything for him; Andy feels the same for her. Since coming to The HH, she's positioned herself as the emotional anchor of the group, aided by the fact that unlike the other girls, she has no sexual, physical or emotional attraction to Andy besides their friendship. She's in a relationship with Liesa. It was discovered by most of the harem during the show that Sam's parents were conservative Christians and that, before coming out, Sam even asked Andy to pretend to be her boyfriend during the holidays at her parents'. She came out when she saw her father grilling Andy and decided she didn't want to be cowardly. Andy stood up for her and chastised her father when he started berating her. Since then, she has cut off contact with her parents. Her brother followed her, disgusted with the way their parents treated Sam, and cut them off as well. Sam feels guilty that her brother upended his life for her. She has become the harem's emotional anchor, and she and Andy have supported each other throughout the experience. She proposed marriage to Liesa in the Fifth Round, and is set to get married.

Life Hugger: Sam has struggled often in her adult life, and her bond with the Master has always supported her. Now, she cannot get enough. Sam’s emotional equilibrium becomes tied to physical contact with the Master; without daily hugs or skin-to-skin closeness with Andy, she begins to feel a gnawing loneliness that turns into overwhelming emotional distress. Sworn to Carry your Burdens: Transformations that require something (e.g. a connection, an order) from the Master can be delegated to Sam instead. The Master must consent to the delegation, but he can also unilaterally delegate a TF to Sam if he wishes. Sam cannot refuse. Only one such TF can be carried at any one time. Bearing The World Upon Her Shoulders: Sam is now the rock upon which the welfare of the harem rests. Relationship to Andy: A middle school classmate.
Bio: Chloe is a middle school classmate of Andy's. Now, Chloe works as a kindergarten teacher, creating cozy spaces where children feel safe, protected, and encouraged to grow. She's known for her thoughtful small touches, and she is deeply sensitive to others' feelings. She is almost cripplingly shy. Her first kiss was with Andy, in a panic, when she told him she liked him and he gently shot her down; that kiss set off a chain reaction that led to Laura's ****. Since then, Chloe has struggled with self-confidence, but coming to The HH, meeting Andy again, patching their relationship and being surrounded by women who care about her has changed Chloe considerably. She has even succeeded in making peace with Riley, and has forgiven Myra after seeing how much she punished herself for her lie. Chloe has become very good friends with Dawn, Emi, and Emily, and is generally seen as one of the most innocent, kind, and nurturing members of the harem. She deeply desires children, but she was diagnosed with infertility before coming to The HH; here, she's been told the magic of The HH has made her fertile again, and she's struggled with the news because she was afraid they may be a cruel joke. During the Fifth Round, she started a relationship with Riley, made peace with Laura, and discovered she is pregnant with Andy's child.

Praise Trigger: Chloe has always been a good girl, trying her best to help others in work and life. She should be rewarded for it. Now, whenever someone pays her a sincere compliment about her looks or something she did, or offers her praise for being good, clever, or obedient, she loses an item of clothing. She cannot put it back on for 24 hours. [UPGRADE] When Chloe is complimented, she no longer loses items of clothing. Instead, she gets a jolt of arousal, and the more meaningful the compliment, the stronger the jolt. (Teacher)

Her body is soft and delicate, with B-cup breasts and a slender build. She has pale blonde cat ears in addition to her original ears, and a long cat's tail the same color fur as her hair, which tends to accentuate her emotions. She is extremely athletic.
Relationship to Andy: A high school classmate.
Bio: Claire was Andy’s early crush in high school who friend-zoned him, after seemingly leading him on for a while. This betrayal of his trust set a tone of emotional distance Andy struggled to overcome. After high school, Claire went to college in Maine, where she studied library sciences. Today, Claire works as the assistant head archivist at the Boston Public Library in Boston, Massachusetts. Somehow, in the Garden of Glass, Emi was the only one who witnesses Laura's memories even though Laura wasn't back yet. As of right now, it seems Laura actually remembers those visits as if they really happened - something that is not true for anyone else. Since Laura's return, Emi has been further revitalized, particularly after Laura confirmed she remembered Emi's help as a child, and the promise to be better. Emi has become good friends with Chloe, Emily, and Dawn. Riley is (so far) the only harem member who managed to get Emi angry. During the Fifth Round, Emi reconnected with Laura, discovered she had somehow entered Laura's actual memories during the Garden of Glass, and later - thanks to Claire - found out she is Anna's descendant through a relationship Anna had with a French knight named Jauffre in the Middle Ages. The revelation recontextualized a number of memories from her life, and gave her grounding.

The exact scope of this is unclear, although she has demonstrated odd abilities, like entering Laura's memories during the Garden of Glass even if Laura was dead, and actually modifying so that Laura remembered her there. She is Andy's confidante, and aside from Erin and Claire, no one else knows she's alive (although Emi and Norah suspect she's an eliminated contestant, they don't know she can move). Shortly before the Fourth Challenge, Andy used his Console Gift to swap her harem affiliation so she is part of Andy's harem now, ensuring he can take her with him when the show is over. Andy has promised to find a way to free her, although she doesn't want to hope for it, fearing disappointment. With the Comfort Gift, he is able to physically meet her in a dreamspace once per fortnight. Andy added her to his harem.

Bio: A Contestant from Arabella's first Earth season, twinned with another contestant called Alla (later the goddess Ereshkigal). Made into the goddess Inanna by Ereshkigal's final Wish, taken to the underworld to protect her from the season's Master Abi-Eshu, and rescued by Arabella (inadvertedly giving rise to the myth of Inanna's Descent into the Underworld). Apparently, during the Middle Ages, had a relationship with a French knight called Jauffre, from whom she conceived a child. The child, a boy, became the ancestor of Emi Kim, making Anna Emi's great-great-(x?)-grandmother.

Dr. Dinah Hornblower

Job: OB/GYN; head of the Hollow Garden Clinic.
Appearance: Dinah is 5'7'', 136 lbs, with a pair of medium breasts, and two pairs of slightly smaller breasts underneath the primary ones. She has the ears, fangs, claws, and stubby tail of a Eurasian lynx. She has a thin waist. She looks 28, has brown hair cut in a bob cut, and green eyes.

Bio: An OB/GYN doctor who was among the first trainees of Francis O'Connor, she was taken as a Contestant in O'Connor's season. Abused, exploited and broken down, she escaped the season and made her way to The HH, where Arabella negotiated for her freedom with Ms. E, O'Connor's Producer. Dinah was detached from O'Connor's harem and remains on The HH, not as a harem member, but as the head of the Hollow Garden under Arabella's guidance, helping the women there. She sees Andy as a good friend and has a soft spot for him after he immediately rushed to her help, no questions asked, upon finding her injured on the beach.

Bio: Hermes, psychopomp, god of boundaries, trickster, messenger. Has known Arabella and Anna since Greek times. Helped Arabella set the stage for Andy to game the First Challenge, and supported Arabella's ritual to resurrect Laura. Also gave Andy some advice both before and after the Fourth Challenge. Andy figured out who he is during the after-challenge party.

Marie

Job: Hollow Garden guest/staff.
Appearance: A woman around 5'5'' in height, with long light brown hair, and hazel eyes. She has a slender figure, long black fingernails, and wore a figure-hugging dress during the Fifth Challenge. She wore a plain cream mask with a single horizontal line, cheekbone height.
Relationship to Andy: She danced with him.
Bio: Likely an ex-Contestant, currently residing in the Hollow Garden, possibly part of the volunteer staff. She hasn't interacted with people from outside the Hollow Garden for years, according to Dinah. She told Andy she never met him before, but she came to the ball on behalf of someone she loves, a woman who spoke of Andy long ago and who is also in the Hollow Garden, apparently at rest. Andy offered to meet both Marie and the woman she speaks of when he visits the Hollow Garden, in the Sixth Round.

Appearance: Mildred’s presence commands the room with a striking blend of bombshell allure and gothic mystery. Standing tall and statuesque, her hourglass figure flows seamlessly beneath unrelieved black attire marked only by a small, gleaming golden badge that reads “[Name] – Service.” The "Name" portion is different for each position she holds (she's "Bob" in the Annex clothing store, "Salamander" in the Annex stationery store, "Florence" as a Hollow Garden nurse, "Perran" as a body painting artist, "Moory" as an enforcer during some challenges, and so on). Bio: Created by Cassandra (the Host of Harem Hotel: Missed Connections) as a humorous gift for Andy's birthday, riffing on Sam's recurring joke that if she were eliminated, she'd become a corgi. He's extremely durable and smart (for a dog), and has been described as "a little maniac" and "the happiest dog in the world". His presence tends to cheer up even the crankiest harem members. Cassandra told Andy Samson would live as long as Andy lives.
