Chapter 2

Character Gallery

I've been asked to add images and I've finally gotten AI to work with me rather than against me.

I've tried to keep spoilers to a minimum here for anyone new to the story. I may add a few more images in Books 2 and 3.

Ashlara

Standing 6’3” and built like a siege engine wrapped in scarred green muscle, Ashlara is an orc warrior of terrifying skill and berserker fury. The wilderness suits her better than any hall or hearth - she moves through forests and mountain passes with the ease most people reserve for their own homes. Among strangers, though, she is guarded and uneasy - blunt where others are polite, silent where others fill the air with chatter. Years of hardship have made her tough, distrustful, and more comfortable facing monsters than navigating conversation. Yet beneath the hardened exterior lies a fierce loyalty reserved for the rare few who earn her trust.

Mirri

Mirri is a goblin healer who’s fallen on hard times. Barely 4’2”, she somehow manages to cram a staggering amount of charm, cleverness, and profanity into her tiny frame. Her quick hands can stitch a wound shut almost as fast as her sharp tongue can start a fight. Beneath the sarcasm and survival instincts, though, burns a stubborn determination that refuses to die. She’s been chasing something for a long time now and she’s closer to finding it than she realizes.

Serah

Serah is a mysterious woman forever looking over her shoulder, as though something terrible is only a few steps behind her. She carries herself with quiet grace and practiced poise, every movement refined, every word carefully measured. Yet beneath the elegance lies a constant tension - the wary eyes of someone who has learned, painfully, that trust is dangerous. Whatever she fled left scars deeper than the eye can see, and though she hides them well behind composure and dignity, they linger in every guarded glance and every carefully maintained distance.
