Chapter 4 by Lucyh54 Lucyh54

Alejandro's perspective

Chapter 4

I couldn't believe it. Despite my terrible start and the biggest embarrassment of my life, the most beautiful woman I had ever seen invited me to sit with her. After ordering a coffee, I was able to relax and talk to her. I'm not very social, but we chatted long enough until it got dark and we had to part ways, but not before exchanging numbers.

After several weeks of dating and getting to know her better, we started going out. We turned out to have more in common than I thought. Although she was a bit older and taller, I didn't mind, and she didn't mind that I was shorter than her. I think that's what she loved about me. We shared a love for anime, traveling, and sometimes staying at home, or at her apartment—mostly at her apartment, since my mother lives at home. My father passed away when I was a child, but my mother raised us.

She's very sociable, unlike me. When I told her I had a girlfriend, she was more surprised than happy. She doesn't care about people's differences as long as they make each other happy; that's her motto. If both people are happy, then it's not my place to interfere in other people's relationships. Zoe and my mom, Monica, got along surprisingly quickly.

Once I finished university, we agreed to live together. My mom was happy that we took that step and let me keep the house so we could live together. At first, I refused, saying it was too much and wondering where she would go, but she seemed more excited since she was still young; she had me at 15 while my father was 21. That's also one of the reasons why she accepts all couples as long as they are happy. And along with her best friend, Melisa, with whom she stayed in touch even though her whole family and my father's lost contact because of the pregnancy, she was the only one who supported her.

Melisa
