Chapter 30: It Will Be Okay

A battle for the heart and mind.

Aezlith

She parried Lust's blow then sliced with her sword. Lust crumbled to the ground. She looked up in shock. They were surrounded by an army of Deltas or things that looked like Delta. Bad ideas and evil thoughts. "She is the monster!" They all shouted in unison.

Aezlith ran back up to N7x Voss. Back to back. Her white sword and N7x's black sword. "If we stay close like this we can cover each other's flanks or our backs so we don't get stabbed or impaled."

"Also, shot," N7x added motioning toward some of the Evil Thoughts and Evil Ideas having guns.

"I have a trick up my sleeve for them," Aezlith replied.

The Evil Thoughts across the field with the guns aimed at them. Some with rifles and machine guns. Then they opened fire. Some sounded like firecrackers, some sounded like fireworks, and some of the guns sounded like death. Aezlith with inhuman speed began to block and deflect bullets back at her foes. Some of her deflections with her white sword returned to its owner killing them.

One of the Evil Ideas stood up letting out a roar. Then a shout. "Charge!" Discarding their range weapons the Evil Thoughts and Ideas summoned melee weapons most of them summoned swords. Probably because the Ideas and Thoughts originated from N7x/Delta and N7x loved swords so most of these lesser things liked swords also.

Aezlith readied herself. She might have been able to deflect and kill off a few but they were still vastly outnumbered. "But I still have a few more tricks." She said. The army of evil approached them. Disorganized also, some of them ran ahead of the others and some lagged behind.

She threw her sword towards the closest Evil Idea. Her blade hit its target. Killing them instantly. Stretching out her hand towards her sword several feet away. N7x behind her began to block and parry two attackers. An Evil Thought closed in on her left. She curled her fingers in with her reaching arm and yanked back. Her white blade flew out of the body back to her just in time to block the blow from the Evil Thought.

They locked blades her and the Evil Thought, who took this moment to speak. "You will die alongside this weak flesh!" She had no time to bicker. Since the Evil Thought was this close she took this moment to take one hand off her sword and punch them. Making them howl in pain and stumble back. Aezlith did a slice. Cutting them in half. Another Evil Thought approached with a sword. CLANG! Their blades met. Another slice and that one was down. SWOOSH!

"AH!" Aezlith let out a cry. An Evil Idea stood nearby on her right with the sword it had just cut her with. She responded with her own attack. The Evil Idea. Blocked her blade grinning. She let go of her special blade but instead of disappearing it remained there trying to press down and kill the Evil Idea who was now blade-locked with a floating sword. Aezilth snapped her fingers summoning two white mystical hammers. Swinging them back into the Idea's rib cage. CRACK! The blow to the side sent them rolling like a ragdoll.

More Evil Ideas and Evil Thoughts approached. An incoming circle of Ideas and Thoughts threatening to trap them approached all with weapons raised above their heads. She shared a glance with N7x and they both nodded. She dismissed her hammers and called back her sword. N7x and Aezilth began to run together like fan their swords cutting down their attackers at their stomachs. They both stopped to admire their work nodding. Looking around them to find only Sin standing with the last few Evil Ideas and Evil Thoughts.

Wait where are the rest? I thought there was more? As if reading her thoughts Sin replied. "I order the troops to make a tactical retreat. No need for them to lose their lives. Instead, they can hide and imbed themselves within her heart and mind." Sin said pointing to N7x. "Plague you for days on en-" Before Sin could finish and before Aezilth could react.

N7x leaped in the air towards Sin and the remaining Evils. Landing just a few feet away causing a wave of energy to shoot out from the landing killing the remaining Evils. Aezilth ran to catch up to them. It happened so fast too fast. N7x swung her sword like a mad man. Sin was blocking but then failed to block a blow from N7x's blade that landed on her shoulder.

Aezilth finally caught up to them. Sin was begging, "Please, spare me!"

"N7x, wait we-"

SWOOSH! Sin was now on the ground seemly lifeless. Aezilth looked at N7x shaking her head. "You or we have so much anger in us."

"So what! And what do you mean by wait?!"

"Congrats N7x, I'm pretty sure Sin just played us! Played you! I think she wanted to be killed right there!"

"What do you mean?"

Sin

The two bickered. A ghostly form seemed to slowly rise from Sin's body without making a sound. The two were distracted. The shade form of Sin flew up above them to over the battlefield. Coming over to an Evil Idea on the ground barely alive. Broken ribs. "You, child, will be my vessel and link back here. You will need also, a name I was thinking about, Torment. But for now, I must go and report back to my masters." She then kissed the Evil Idea on the forehead.

Aezilth

"I am saying that we should think before we get all angry and remember it's not their fault or someone's else fault. Sometimes it's just our fault and our mistakes, that destroy us and define us. On the surface, we keep this down and hidden. The battles that we have against ourselves. What's hidden underneath?"

A whisper answered back suddenly, through N7x's head/mind. Sin answered. "I'll always be here a thorn on the inside. I'll always tempt you. Even if sided with the Christians you are not invincible. You are only human. You are flesh. Imperfect. Darkness, demons, and me Sin we can offer you perfection. You may be part god or demigod, or whatever, made IN his image, but you are weak without him. But your reasons not to follow him make sense he is very demanding and controlling. For doing evil or simpler things and having an easy life without him feels better, I agree feeling better is good and not doing the harder life as the Bible says. It is great you don't follow him. But at the end of your pathetic non-christian life N7x or Conner or whatever name you take, or if you return to your Christian life. . .to us, Satan, demons, and me. . .you are nothing. Sleep well tonight! But know this I'll always be here. Only when revelation happens if you manage to end up in the arms of the creator will you be safe from our machinations!"

N7x shook her head, "I don't know what's on the inside. It doesn't seem to just be me. Did we really win? Will it be okay?"

"I guess we will find out later. But whatever happens and however we choose to live," Aezlith began thinking to reassure herself and this part of them. "It will be okay. Do you remember watching that Red vs Blue show? Agent Caroline said the past doesn't define who you are, it just gives you the starting point of who you're going to be. Kratos from the God of War games I believe said, we must be better. Akane Yashiro said in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla said, you gave me strength. So did the others. No life is worthless. I believe you now. At end of the day however we continue to live our lives we must be better for our children if we have any and if we don't at least be a living example to others by expressing goodness and kindness and sharing, all of that goes a long way. And finally, in my opinion, the best advice and comfort I can give us or me or to you and to be a good non-believer is this, said by a person who didn't live that long who deserved to live longer. . .I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion then it will start a chain reaction of the same."

N7x nodded at this agreeing, "I don't know where to go from this but I want to be better in some way or shape or form whether that be through my own means or going back with the Christian God."

Aezlith simply nodded also and said it again, "Don't worry, it will be okay."

Not Everyone Believes the Same
