Chapter 15 —

The abandoned factory district was shrouded in night, the air thick with the mingled stench of scorched earth and blood. The warehouse door at the entrance had been smashed open, rubble and scrap metal scattered everywhere.

As Yin Li landed, her split-toe socks crunched silently on the dust. She retracted her dragon wings and tail, switched to human form, concealed her presence, and swiftly infiltrated the underground black market.

Upon entering the black market, she was met with utter devastation—stalls collapsed, goods scattered, and the air echoed with sporadic screams, but eerily, there was no sound of fighting.

Yin Li's golden eyes swept across the scene. The once bustling trading market of her memories had become a living hell—everywhere lay desiccated corpses, some lying on the ground, others slumped over their counters, their bodies riddled with wounds, as if pierced by countless cold weapons and drained of blood.

From these fatal wounds, Yin Li faintly detected the scent of vampires.

"Not after money, just life..." Casually examining the goods on several intact stalls, Yin Li noticed they were mostly neatly arranged, showing no signs of tampering.

She frowned and continued forward, traversing blood-stained passageways. Soon, she found several trembling survivors in a corner—mostly low-level vendors or laborers helping to move goods, their faces still bearing the marks of lingering fear, cowering in the shadows, too afraid to move.

Without a word, Yin Li stretched out her hand, using a wisp of gravity to pull several of the seemingly kind-looking individuals towards her. The men instantly turned pale, thinking another killing machine had arrived, and knelt down, begging for mercy.

"Spare us! M-Master, we didn't do anything!"

"Shut up," Yin Li's melodious loli voice was filled with impatience. "Tell me what happened here. Who did it? When? What was the motive? Don't leave out a single word!"

The captured men exchanged glances. One of the bolder middle-aged men spoke in a trembling voice:

"It was, it was a woman! A vampire with white hair and purple eyes, dressed in ancient Hanfu, but wearing a mask on her face, which looked very incongruous... However, her strength was unfathomable! When she came in, everyone present felt dizzy, as if their heads had been flipped through a book, and all their memories had been read over."

Then, her expression darkened, and inexplicably... She slashed her own palm to let blood flow… The blood vanished before it even hit the ground. The next second, those most cunning and unscrupulous businessmen in the black market were almost simultaneously pierced into pincushions by countless blood-red crystal longswords! Then, their bodies shriveled up, drained of their life ****, and the longswords returned to her body as drops of blood…”

Another survivor added, “Yes, yes, from the moment she came in to the end of the massacre, it was less than half a minute! We small fry were lucky; she didn’t target us. After she finished, she went straight to the person in charge’s office. Now, five minutes have passed since she started… Sir, are you… are you here to save us?”

Yin Li frowned upon hearing this.

White hair, purple eyes, vampire… This description gave her a vague sense of familiarity, seemingly belonging to Lin Jiangxing’s memories, but because his memories were fragmented, she couldn’t recall them at all. “If you can’t remember, then don’t think about it. Why not go check? Maybe that guy hasn’t left the black market yet.”

She waved her hand, dispelling gravity. The survivors immediately collapsed to the ground. Then, in a flash, she sped towards the office area deep within the black market.

More and more desiccated corpses appeared along the way, most in the terrified postures of their deaths, seemingly killed instantly—their chests and heads pierced by blood-soaked swords, every drop of blood drained away.

"These guys were all security personnel from the black market, the weakest being at least mid-stage third-tier strength, and they were all instantly killed... Just who is this guy who came to the black market and went on a killing spree in the middle of the night?"

Looking at the corpses, Yin Li felt quite frustrated—these security personnel were accomplices who had caused her, Liu Hongyu, and He Yuanyuan to fall into this state. According to her plan, she should have personally killed them tonight... But now, a stranger had overstepped his bounds, leaving her with a feeling of resentment with nowhere to vent it.

…………

The black market's office area was located deeper underground, led by a narrow passage. The walls were covered with surveillance cameras, but now they were all destroyed, flickering with sporadic sparks.

The number of corpses on both sides of the passage increased, many being bodyguards and mid-level executives of high-ranking black market officials. Their deaths were far more gruesome than those of the security personnel on the outer perimeter—some had bloodied swords piercing their chins through their heads, others had their chests ripped out, leaving only shriveled shells lying on the ground.

"These guys… ugh, serves them right," Yin Li murmured, but her heart grew heavier—the more corpses she saw, the more the thrill of her personal **** was being robbed.

Turning a corner, the space opened up before her, revealing the entrance to a spacious conference room.

The thick alloy door had been smashed open, and inside, lights flickered. Several corpses lay scattered on the floor—not just humans, but also dragonmen!

Yin Li's heart sank. She quickly stepped forward, crouching down to carefully examine the corpses: curved dragon horns, gleaming, scaly skin, severed dragon tails… yes, these were the dragonmen subordinates she had brought with her to Yuejiang City.

In her memory, she had brought ten dragonmen with her when she infiltrated Moon River City. These were elite warriors, fused with the power of the Fusion Beast, possessing both human abilities and the robust physique of dragons, each at least at the fourth rank… But now, they were all wiped out!

One dragonman corpse lay in a corner, a large hole pierced through its chest, its eyes wide open, the pupils reflecting the lingering terror of ****. Another corpse was cleaved in two, its body reduced to skin and bones, its face twisted beyond recognition… The remaining corpses were equally gruesome, some with crushed heads, others with torn limbs, scattered across the ground.

“All dead… ten, not one left.”

Looking at the dragonman corpses lying on the ground in various gruesome states, Yin Li scratched her head in frustration—these dragonmen were the main targets of her ****, but now everything was ruined! The dragonmen of Yuejiang City were all dead. Her only recourse for **** was to hunt down the remaining 40 dragonmen in other cities, relying on fragmented memories. But most of them hadn't directly participated in her persecution, so killing them felt unsatisfying, like venting her anger on innocent bystanders.

"Whether it's ridding the people of a scourge or a personal grudge, anyone who dares to steal my prey will suffer!"

Yin Li growled, her fists clenched so tightly they cracked. The hatred in her chest surged like a volcano, yet she found no outlet—she felt an emptiness, a sense that "all her enemies have been killed by others."

However, among the corpses, she didn't find Liu Hongyu, which brought her a slight relief: "Liu Hongyu isn't dead? Perhaps he escaped, or perhaps he was captured by the attacker… In any case, this is good news. At least I still have a chance to restore him."

She stood up, transformed into her dragon form, and quickly ventured deeper into the enemy ranks.
