Chapter 13: The Search

Chapter 15 by NudeBare NudeBare

The week that followed was agonizing. Emily checked her phone obsessively, waiting for a reply. She told herself not to get her hopes up, that the profile was probably old or inactive. But she couldn't stop thinking about Sarah, about the words she'd written, about the possibility that she might finally have found what she'd been looking for.

The reply came on Friday evening, just as Emily was about to leave the office.

Hi Emily. I saw your message and I've been too nervous to respond until now. I've wanted this for so long. I've wanted to be owned for so long. I'm scared, but I'm also ready. I've done the research. I know what I want. I know what I'm asking for. Can we meet?

Emily's heart soared. She typed back immediately, her fingers flying across the screen.

Yes. I'd like that very much. Can you meet me tomorrow? I know a place. It's private and quiet. Perfect for conversation. I'll send you the address.

She spent the rest of the evening in a daze, unable to focus on anything but the woman on the other end of the screen. She'd found Sarah's profile on a whim, but something about it had resonated with her. The honesty, the vulnerability, the certainty—it was everything she'd been looking for.

The next morning, Emily arrived at the private café an hour early. It was a small, out-of-the-way place she'd discovered during law school, tucked between two brownstones in a quiet neighborhood. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere was calm and intimate. It was perfect for the conversation she had in mind.

She ordered a latte and settled into a corner booth, her nerves jangling with anticipation. She'd dressed carefully that morning, choosing a simple but elegant outfit that projected confidence without being intimidating. She wanted Sarah to feel comfortable. She wanted to make a good impression.

Sarah arrived exactly on time. Emily spotted her as soon as she walked through the door, and her breath caught in her throat.

She was petite, with dark hair and wide, expressive eyes. She was dressed modestly, in jeans and a simple sweater, but there was something about her that drew the eye. She moved with a quiet grace, her steps hesitant but purposeful. She looked nervous, but there was a strength in her posture that spoke of determination.

Sarah spotted Emily and walked over, her hands clasped nervously in front of her.

"Hi," she said, her voice soft but steady. "I'm Sarah. Thank you for meeting me."

Emily stood and extended her hand. "I'm Emily. Thank you for coming."

They sat across from each other, the table between them feeling both intimate and safe. Emily studied Sarah's face, noting the slight tremor in her hands, the way her eyes darted away and then back again. She was nervous, but she was also present. She was fully engaged in this moment, and that meant everything.

"I've wanted to do this for so long," Sarah began, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've wanted to be owned for as long as I can remember. I've read everything I could find. I've talked to people in the community. I've done the research."

"I saw your profile," Emily said. "Your words were very honest. That's rare."

"I've been hiding for a long time," Sarah admitted. "I've been pretending to be someone I'm not. I've had relationships, but they never felt right. I was always playing a role. I was always pretending."

Emily nodded, understanding completely. "I know exactly what you mean."

Sarah looked up, her eyes meeting Emily's for the first time. "You do?"

"I grew up in a household like the one you're describing," Emily said. "My parents own property. A woman named Pearl. She's been part of our family for as long as I can remember. I watched her surrender, and I watched my parents take care of her. I saw how much they loved each other. I saw how beautiful it was."

Sarah's eyes widened. "You grew up like that? You saw it firsthand?"

"I was raised with it," Emily confirmed. "It was normal to me. I saw Pearl kneel, serve, worship. I saw my parents give her the freedom to be exactly who she was. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed. And I've wanted that for myself ever since I was old enough to understand it."

Sarah was silent for a moment, her eyes shining with tears. "I didn't think anyone like you existed," she whispered. "I thought I was alone. I thought I was broken."

"You're not broken," Emily said firmly. "You're exactly who you're supposed to be. You have a need, a deep and genuine need, to surrender. That's not a flaw. That's not a weakness. That's a gift. It's a gift that will let you love someone with your whole heart. It's a gift that will let you serve with complete devotion."

Sarah's tears spilled over, and she wiped them away with trembling fingers. "I'm sorry," she said. "I don't mean to cry. I'm just so relieved. I've been holding this inside for so long. I've been so afraid."

Emily reached across the table and took Sarah's hand. "You don't have to be afraid anymore. You're not alone. I'm here. And I want to be the person who owns you. I want to give you the freedom you're looking for. I want to be your Mistress."

Sarah's breath caught. "You really mean that?"

"I really mean it," Emily said. "But I want to take this slowly. I don't want to rush into anything. I want to get to know you. I want to understand what you need, what you want, what you're afraid of. This is a big step, and I want to make sure we do it right."

Sarah nodded, her eyes shining with hope. "I want that too. I want to be sure. I want to be certain. But I already know what I want. I've known for a long time. I just needed to find someone who understood."

They talked for hours that afternoon, Emily and Sarah, their conversation flowing with surprising ease. They talked about their lives, their families, their dreams. Sarah told Emily about her conservative upbringing, the way she'd always felt out of place, the way she'd never fit in. Emily talked about her childhood, the unconventional family she'd grown up in, the love that had surrounded her.

It was like they'd known each other for years, Emily thought. Like they'd been waiting for each other.
