Chapter 12 - The Contract

It was Valerie's fifth day at Iris's place. To her frustration, she was no closer to getting back on her feet than when she had moved in. The organization had, in theory, given her a new cover identity. What they hadn't given her was any sort of money, blaming it all on budget cuts at every level. Valerie didn't even have a bank account yet. On it's own, this wouldn't pose too much of an obstacle for her. She had survived in much worse situations, but nothing quite like the one she found herself in at this moment.

She owned no clothing, and neither did her otherwise lovely host and friend (unless you wanted to count stockings, harnesses and assorted bondage gear as clothing, which Valerie certainly did not). Without any money, she couldn't buy anything to wear. Which meant that since the completion of her last mission, she hadn't worn any kind of clothing for almost an entire week. Thankfully, Iris's place was in an otherwise isolated section of the org's HQ, which kept her away from prying eyes.

Valerie was sitting on the couch, her laptop open when she received an alert on her screen. She had been assigned a new mission.

Finally, she thought. A new mission meant new gear, and a nice bonus based on completion parameters - both things that she could really use at this moment. The briefing was in a little over an hour, which meant there was no time to waste. The gears began to spin in her head.

The embarrassment of streaking through her workplace, along with having to face so many people she knew meant that arriving naked to the briefing was out of the question. Even picturing that made her shiver. She had to find a way to collect her gear first, and then wear it to the meeting.

The dossier attached to the message contained a lot of information - crucially, she found the specifications for her assigned gear: a one of a kind prototype bodysuit, developed by the experimental materials team.

Valerie had an idea of how she could get the suit.
