Chance meeting

Nathan Howard was a man in his fifties, his hair now grey and receding he kept it shaved short , his beard still held traces of his once red hair but it was a losing battle, a dad bod would be an understatement, his stomach not listening to his exercise at just over six foot he was a large man.

He moved to Wiltshire after the **** of his wife, his daughter now 30 had a family of her own, his time his own , he spent time walking, his main form of exercise, and although he couldn't get close he always walked in sight of the ancient stone ring.

Ever since he was a boy and everytime since the mere sight of the place raised the hairs on his neck, and maybe that was a magic of its own, today had held a spectacular eclipse and that made the monument seem even more special.

Tonight as he walked, torch in hand an odd glow emanated from the direction of the ring, then quickly vanished, by the time he got closer it was once more dark apart from the light of the full moon.

There in the ring he saw movement, the moon seemed to be illuminating the ring with purpose tonight, a woman witn the palest blonde, no , white hair xtood in the ring learning on a staff, her clothes were odd too, maybe a new age witch or Larp'er he thought but she would be in trouble if they caught her.

Whoever she was she possesed some skill climbing, clambering over the fence with catlike grace and staring at it with some sense of wonder..

"Miss are you ok?" He called out to her.
