Cause And Effect

....

After washing your face and freshening up the best you could in the bathroom you make your way downstairs. It looks like things have calmed down as the conversations became quieter. The lights dim and the television is turned on to display some late night show.

Sarah and your mother sits at the couch side by side with a plate of chips and guacamole in-between them. They talk with a few giggles here and there and only stop to turn their attention to you as you step down from the steps.

"Hey, where's Keiko?"

"Oh! Jun!~ Keiko is with your sister. They're playing games in her room....ah!~ Would you like some chips?~ We all got our fill but there are also some left overs too~."

"I-I'm alright, thanks mom."

You quickly say and make your way over to the kitchen to grab yourself a drink of water. As you lift the cup to satiate your thirst you look to Sarah....she's definitely less rowdy than last time although equally as cheerful.

Putting the cup away and walking forward you cough into your hand and stiffly jump into the fire deciding that getting it over as quickly as you can now would be better.

"Soo....mom....?"

Your mother rears her head back and smiles warmly to you. "Hrmmm?~"

"Uhhh....about what....Kara told you."

She lifts a brow at you curiously and waits patiently for you to finish.

"I- uhhh....it's not entirely like that. Sarah and I don't really have that sort of relationship....we're just friends. And....the condoms....ummm Kara gave you. It's-...."

You pause to gauge your mother's reaction. She makes a confused look at you and then you look at Sarah and she is sitting with a straight back, not even moving an inch out of place....

"Oh~....condom? I don't recall Kara giving me one...." Your mother's face tilts and she puts a finger to her chin to think. You can't tell if she is extra playful today or if she actually doesn't know. She then gasps and putting both hands to her mouth she smiles. "Oh my~ Does Jun require a condom!? If Jun needs one I would go out to buy one immediately!~"

Then your mother looks to Sarah with a wide smile and Sarah shoves her head into her hands trying to hide. You make a face of disbelief. Wait- your mother doesn't know anything about this!? Did Kara trick you!? She's not that type of person right???

You panic.

"I- uhhh shit. S-Sorry that was....a joke?" You have no idea how to get out of this.

"Oh~ really?~ My dear~ you don't need to be embarrassed~ mother will support you! Ooooh~ I am so proud~."

Sarah rolls down the couch and curls into a ball on the floor.

"I- NO! I mean- i-it's not like that okay!? I'm just- Kara told me that she gave you the condoms and explained everything to you and-"

Your mother gasps again and stands up before walking over and quickly jumping at you with a hug.

"Ohhh~ my dearie doesn't need to make things up to get what he wants~~. You should've just asked!"

"I-!!!" You're speechless. "M-mom!"

Your mother gives you a big warm hug and smooshes her big bosom against you. You can feel their soft pliable pillow-like feel on your chest. Then she playfully whispers to you.

"Shhh~....it's okay....it's alriiiight~....mom will get you lots of condoms, okie?" Then she lets go and gives you a big thumbs up and a nod.

You facepalm with a loud slap on your forehead.
