Catching up...

Just like Scarlet told you on the way to the Reception, when you enter your dorm you see in front of you an inner grass field and on your left side and right side are the doors to the dorm building proper. As you push open the right side door (praise be the designers that there is no raised threshold on the door) you see an entry with a stairway to the upper floor. Behind that is the hallway that continues to the lower-level rooms.

“Yeah,” Scarlet pipes up, “the dorms are filled according to a first come first serve principle. They start at the bottom and as more people arrive they start filling up the upper floor too.”

So because you came later your room is located on the upper floor while your friends have one on the lower floor. Luckily your luggage is quickly carried up to your room thanks to the helping hands of your friends. On the way back down you notice there’s a lounge room just at the upper landing of the stairway. Something to file for later use.

At that point Sydney says, ”Come on guys, we really need to catch up. And I know just the place for it. A cozy little bar at the Amenities Zone run by a feline kindred.”

Dropping off the trolley at Reception, you first pass by a little bistro on the way there that seems nice too. Scarlet also pipes up “Oh and down the road there is The Smoothie Spot, a little shop that makes smoothies to die for …” But for now you are following Sydney to a bar she knows.

As you enter The Oasis you see there is a real cross-section of Terra Dipliosis present. At one table there is a Kith couple, at another one a couple of mustelid warrigals. More towards the back you see a slender fox warrigal with a typical flattened skull like her animal counterpart (probably true-bred you think) nursing a drink.

Taking in the whole scene you also spot an ant kindred and some kind of warrigal bird maybe some kind of ratite descendant. On an out-of-the-way table you also see a ferret warrigal tapping away at her mobile oblivious to the hubbub around her. But the most remarkable about her is not that she dressed in a way that leaves little to the imagination but that she has blue fur.

Across the room you see a feline kindred behind the counter. Smartly dressed with cat ears poking out of her hair and a tail swishing behind her back, she is occupying herself by keeping the place behind the counter organized.

The only ones that are missing are the aquatic and windborne species. Maybe their aviaries are somewhere else because they have the power of true flight so distance isn’t that much of an issue for them. You did not really pay attention arriving but maybe the aquatic species are more likely to be found around Esperanza Harbour. Another kind you are not likely to see here are the reptile-kin who are probably of to somewhere to soak up some rays.

Sydney nudging you shakes you out of your reverie as you all head to an empty table.
