Catching up with Katya

“Guess so. Never seen someone tuck tail so fast in me life.” You approach Katya who now stands at the base of a tree.

“Good thing I decided to wander today. You okay Iyda?”

“Aye, just surprised is all. Wouldnae’ think criminals would be workin’ a main road like this. Usually what guard patrols are for.”

“Yeah well, the guards are Crag Glen hardly patrol. I’ve eaten three cows since arriving and only the farmers seem to care.”

“Yer’ stealin’ from farmers?”

“Yeah it’s either that or eat humans!” Katya flashes a wild look before dropping it just as fast. “Kidding! Kidding.”

“In any case, thanks fer’ the bailout.”

“Glad to help! That’s what friends are for. Now I’m gonna go see if I can’t find where those two are holed up. Chao for now!” With a small bow Katya creeps back into the trees. Stepping back onto the road you toss a glance back and see two figures approaching from the direction you came.
