Julia Valerius

Marcus' twin sister. 23 years old. She studied magic at the Imperial Academy of Magic.

Disinterested in most people but deeply attached and possessive of her brother.

Livia Valerius

Marcus' younger sister. 21 years old. She refused to leave home for the Academy so was taught alchemy by a private tutor.

She is incredibly shy but when around company she's comfortable her sassy side can slip through.

Augusta Valerius

Marcus' mother. 43 years old. Served as a wandering cleric when she was younger. Married her cousin young in an arranged deal and had five children. Now widowed. The imperial blood, granting long life, means she maintains her youthful appearance.

She is devoted to her family, setting aside her duties to the gods for them. She is caring, wise and dignified.

Amelia

Marcus' second in command and long time friend. She is a hobbit noble who served with Marcus in the joint 16th Legion, comprised of a main human body with hobbit auxiliary.

She is playful, quick to laugh and banter in her downtime but once she needs to be serious, is entirely focused on her task. Hates orcs after her brother was killed and she gravely wounded.

(Authors note: It's surprisingly hard to generate a scar. I'll try to update the image but imagine a long sword slash scar across her left cheek.)

Angel

Marcus' companion, sent by the gods. She is an angel of fertility, created when Marcus was born and doomed to die when he does.

She is stoic, accepting and horny. Gives an aura that, unless nullified, drives anyone who is attracted to her mad with lust. Entirely loyal to Marcus.

Aine Conant

A young noble from a family that used to rule as kings. Their kingdom had been conquered four centuries ago and their family reduced only to one castle, now under the empire.

She is dedicated and eager to prove herself. A talented swordswoman and a terrible singer.

Kozzala Runeaxe

Dwarven queen of the Kingdom of Krazkhuraz. A declining rump kingdom of the ancient Dwarozzok Empire that once stretched beneath the entire continent.

She is ambitious and eager to restore her people's glory. Is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the survival of the dwarven people.
