Cast a spell

You decide to cast a Fearless spell on your companions to combat the horror of these insectoid monsters. You weave the spell in your hands and mind before releasing it on the three warriors.

You weave the spell quickly, focusing your mind and gesturing with your hands. A soft glow envelops your companions as the Fearless enchantment takes hold. Immediately, their postures straighten and their eyes harden with determination.

Nell gives a battle cry and swings his sword in a wide arc, slicing one of the creatures in half. Its two segments continue wriggling on the ground. Adi lunges forward, stabbing at another beast. Jon bashes one away with his shield before bringing his sword down in a deadly chop.

The spell has worked - your friends fight on bravely, without any trace of fear.

There are still many creatures left, but the tide of battle has turned. Your companions cut their way through the chittering mass as you rain destruction from behind. Within minutes, the cavern floor is littered with dismembered, twitching segments. Adi shouts in pain as a giant centipede bites his leg. Before he can react further, Jon slashes the beast in half.

As the last monster falls, you let out a cheer. Nell and Jon shout and raise their shields and weapons in the air.

The Adi falls to the ground his body stiff.
