Cassia's blood boiled at the audacity of this futa.

"No."

The guards eyebrows rose. "No?"

"I said no." Cassia's voice came out harder than she expected, sharp as broken stone. "I am Cassia Longwood, daughter of Senator Demetria Longwood. I do not bargain with my mouth for passage through gates I have every right to pass."

The guard's expression flickered, surprise, then something colder. "Your sire's name won't bend regulations, sweetheart."

"Ugh, fine!" Cassia huffed, turning and walking back the way she came.
