Cartier is home in bed giving up a vigil beside the phone when it finally rang.”Narammster call as you wanted chief!”

“About fucking time!” The anxiety of Graspper’s disappearance coming through.”You remember that program you put into officer’s Graspper’s phone and two others?”

“Yeah!, What about it?”

“Can it be used to trace where she is?”

“Of course as long as the phone is on and within range of the other two!” A pause! “Why is something wrong?”

“Yeah Officer graspper was caught by the possible heads of the pedophile ring and is currently missing!” Cartier swinging his legs off the bed “I’ll call the other two officers involved and will expect you in my office within the hour!” Getting a ‘yes sir!’ reply before hanging up. Placing another call!

“Duty desk, Cartier get me Constable Green and Randall in my office within the hour!”

Forty minutes later Cartier is back behind his desk, Narammster and Randall sitting awaiting Green to arrive

“So let me get this straight!” Cartier looking Narammster in the eyes “When Green get’s here the two phones can tell us if the third one is within the city!”

“Yeah, yeah, save the science lectures! Can you guarantee a fourth phone can be tuned into another receiver of the signal?”

“Of course!” Passing over two more converted smartphones “Child’s play when you know what you’re doing!”

Cartier gets up pacing with nervous energy “Where the fuck is Green?” A knock comes to the door “Come in!”

Green enters and Cartier verbally jumps him ‘You still have that smartphone?” Sheepishly green looks to the floor. “Well speak up man!”

“Yes Sir! Snapping to attention, producing the phone before asked “It’s fully charged sir!”

“Good, Randall yours good to go?”

“Yes Sir!”

Passing one back to Narammster “Well then gentlemen turn them on and pray Officer Grassper’s phone is still on!”

Taking the last one turning it on, greeted with loud beeping “What the hell is going on?” Looking to Narammster for answers

“Means that her phone is within a mile of us sir!”

“Then let’s get out there and find it!”
