Carter Trail Trap Part Two

Spencer pulled up by the Trail, where the two got out. As they walked, Spencer said "So how's your week been?"

"Yeah pretty good. What about you?"

"Yeah, kinda quiet, but that's not so bad."

"Still working on that house?"

"Yeah. Pretty much just the finishing touches at this point."

"Ah, fair enough. Maybe you'll have to find something else to do?"

"Or someone to do?" Spencer looked to Jessica with a grin, who laughed in reply.

"I won't complain. So how's Amy?"

"Alright."

"She uhh... still a bit-"

"A bit... yeah."

Jessica nodded, as she tried to come up with something else to say.

"You know I had an idea about that?"

"Yeah?"

"You any good in the kitchen?"

"Uhh, yeah. Why's that?"

"Well... it's just I'm not much of a cook."

A smile lit up Jessica's face. "I think I can make that work."

"Great."

That's when Jessica looked to the old cabin she had been to the day before. She did her best to contain her joy, as she said "You wanna check out this cabin?"

"Sure." Spencer shrugged, completely unaware of Jessica's plan.
