What next?
Carry on up the High Street
Josh left the Post Office and carried on up the High Street, stepping around and between the people frozen in the middle of walking along the street, walking in and out of shops or standing to the side whilst they did something else; In the doorway to the Chemist, Reverend Green was frozen as he held the door open for Mrs. Pritchard, his mouth open in the middle of uttering some form of chivalrous greeting. Directly ahead, a man stood frozen, mid walk with his phone to his ear, and he could see his Aunt Carol by the pelican crossing, her thumb inches away from pressing the button.
Inside Fallon's Jewellers, Mr. Fallon was frozen in the middle of showing off a large display of wristwatches to a lady who was frozen in the middle of checking out a gold and silver watch whilst in the DIY Store, Rosie Carpenter was frozen as she stacked cans of spray paint on a shelf while her Dad was frozen with a mug of tea close to his lips.
