Career Building and Falling

I didn't see Donna on campus again, after her humiliation at the hands of the Latina's. I did see her frequently in local ads for Motorcycle shops, in tight jeans, a bikini top and leather jacket draped over a motorcycle, even though I knew she'd never been on one, but she looked the part of the busty blonde 'Biker Chick' of TV and movies. She was also seen in ads for Custom Truck Accessories and on Promotional Posters in their shops and give away Calendars the shop gave away to customers. She was usually flaunting her curves in skin tight, skimpy, revealing outfits, bikini's, cut-offs tight jeans and micro mini skirts etc.

It was obvious to me that Donna's career as a model was taking off and she could make it to the big time, as long as she avoided the pit falls of booze, **** and partying! But so far i'd seen no signs of that.

Then much to my surprise she seemed to disappear from the local print media, only to reappear a few weeks later on a poster for a Low Rider Car Show in the Barrio.

I thought that was odd, since the semester had ended and word had it that Marco had gotten engaged to his long time Girlfriend Maria. I assumed Donna hadn't taken getting dumped well. But the story was much more complicated than I assumed.

I got a call from Donna parents who liked me, asking if I had any idea why she had quit the profitable arrangement she'd had with the Ad Agency her parents had helped her work with and quit working with the Photographers they'd help her get started with. I explained without going into our sexual relationship that Donna hadn't told me anything and I was supportive of her career, but just couldn't meet her demands that I answer her when she called me when I was class and she was on a break.

I was surprised to learn that she had gone on to sign an exclusive agreement to work with only one photographer who not only taking all her photographs, but was also acting as her exclusive agent.

My only thought was that maybe she wanted someone to take charge of her life after her breakup with Marco assuming that she didn't want to take charge of her own career and direct it as she wished without her parents help, to really make it on her own.

They agreed and we parted all wondering what was going on with my ex.
