Cardin Winchester

Cardin Winchester was kicking rocks. He was more than pissed with his recent grade from Professor Goodwitch's class. He actually tried for once, and he got an F; how insulting was that!?

He grumbled under his breath, wanting to be far away from the academy, so he didn't take out his anger on something and get detention.

As he continued to kick rocks, he noticed a remote on the ground.

"What the?" Cardin asked. He picked up the remote and wondered what it did.

"Cardin! Put that remote down!"

Cardin turned to see Professor Goodwitch pointing her wand at him.

"What's wrong with the remote, Professor?" Cardin asked.

"That remote is dangerous," Goodwitch said. "Years ago, the mulitverse's strongest warriors had to band together to banish it from all worlds. If it has returned, it could spell doom for the multiverse."

"This thing seems harmless," Cardin said.

Goodwitch shook her head. "It has unspeakable power, and power which can easily corrupt at that. I can easily destroy it if you hand it over."

She took a step closer, but Cardin didn't want to give the remote up. He quickly hit a random button, and a white light surrounded him.

"No!" Goodwitch launched a spell at her student, but Cardin had already teleported away thanks to the remote.

This was bad. Goodwitch had to try and track the remote through the multiverse. Their universe, Remnant, was Universe 3898, and she knew the remote wouldn't teleport Cardin anywhere around Remnant.

Great. This could take all day.

Cardin, meanwhile, now stood in the middle of a wide open field, though he didn't recognize the area.

Had the remote teleported him to a different world?

"Hey!" a voice called.

Cardin turned to see a woman walking towards him.
