Captain Jun responds

Thankfully for Captain Maynard and her team, Captain Jun responded to her calls. Based on her reports she had been doing quite well for most of the mission, until they took shelter in an abandoned safe house. Shortly after they found the place, an undocumented Pseudosect attacked. It was huge, with a thick shell resistant to bullets and large claws capable of acting like a shield. They named it a Breaker, and managed to fight the creature and kill it by getting an explosive in it's mouth, but the resulting explosion attracted numerous Pseudosects, and they lost two members of their team. In the ensuing escape they lost another two, one ran off in the wrong direction while the other was caught and **** by a giant spider. For now they had secured another, more secure shelter, and were planning their next move. With her team whittled down, she felt linking up with Captain Maynard was a smart plan, their combined strength would surely be enough to infiltrate the Lab.

Captain Maynard returned to the room with the rest of the team, informing them of the situation. They seemed relieved to hear they would be getting help, but steeled themselves knowing they still had to actually link up before they could work well. Their plan was to head to a nearby known safe house, one Julie had stayed at before, and meet up with Captain Jun's team and from there they would be able to resupply and reach the subway tunnels.

After hearing Captain Maynards report and their next steps the team resumed their preperations. After a bit more training with Olivia, Julie felt she had a good grasp on how to use the pistol now. Thanking Olivia for her help, she went to where Captain Maynard was checking out a map of the city, figuring out which route would be best. The Captain looked up when she approached and gave her a slight smile, which Julie returned. She blushed a little, feeling out of place in front of the strong and military woman. The poor girl was starting to feel really onsecure and an awkward silence followed.

"U-um.... Captain Maynard, I just wanted to thank you again for letting me come along. I know its a big risk bringing a civillian like me... But... Well... thank you" Julie finally stammered out, feelong embarrassed.

"Well I won't lie Julie, I feel you would be safer here, we dont know what we may face in the lab... But if you feel it is better to come with us, then so be it." The Captain was rather blunt in her reaponse, making Julie feel all the more embarrassed, but at least she was letting her come along. Captain Maynard continued, "When we head out I want you to stay close to Olivia, she will be looking out for you. Try to use your weapon for self defense, let us do most of the fighting."

"U-understood! I wont let you down Captain!" Julie nodded confidently.

Captain Maynards face softened a bit and she patted Julie on the head, making her blush even more. "You're not my subordinate, you can just call me Helen."

Julie covered her face with her hands to cover her blush. "But im a part of the team! It feels wrong to not call you Captain... Isn't it informal for an officer to be addressed by their first name?"

The Captain chuckled at that. "Well technically I am not a soldi-"

Her sentence was cut off my a loud slam coming from the bottom floor of the building. Julie jumped in fright, looking to Captain Maynard who looked down in concern. At that point, Alexis entered the room, her weapon ready. "Captain, we have a visitor. A large Pseudosect just busted into the building. I only managed to get a quick look out the window at it, but i think it might be one of those Breakers Team 2 encountered." As she spoke, Julie and the Captain could hear something large lumbering around downstairs. It sounded like it was getting closer...

"Damn... Alright, I don't want that thing on our tails, so we are going to kill it here." Taking her gun in her hands, she entered the main room where Rebecca and Olivia had their weapons raised at the door. They looked to the Captain for orders.
