“Ah,” she waves her hand, “I understand. It’s… not what you thought you were getting into. Um, but…” she tilts her head for a beat, “Just so you’re aware, my sister is not like me. Do with that knowledge what you will.”

“I… Will?” Ethan lies to himself, thinking he doesn’t care about it.

“Sorry this couldn't work out, ”she brushes past Ethan, heading in the direction of the theater. “See you around.”

“Bye…” Ethan watches her leave, a little surprised she’s still planning on watching the movie.

Left with nothing to do now, Ethan decides to head home, wasting the whole trip.
