Can she get the deer?

While she despised the notion of trying to kill the deer and dress it herself, Eldra felt the need for food, for the skin, the fur...there was so much she could do with it.

She looked at the boomerang in her hand. She looked at the deer.

She'd have to give it a try.

She threw the boomerang.

The deer hopped off into the woods with a snort, escaping. Her eyes slumped and she slid a hand over the small swell of her stomach; she was getting hungry, though she could go awhile still without needing food. It was just a matter of opportunity.

She looked around a little more, finding a small pool of water. She kneeled, dipping it out with her hand and drinking deeply. She wasn't in dire need but it'd be better to eat and drink at every opportunity right now when she didn't know when she'd get the chance again.

She rose, walking along the trail, desperately hoping to find something good. It was already getting to be noon out. She wanted out of the woods so bad.
